I’ve been buying my beans from Subko Coffee even before visiting one of their stores 😄 Now that I’m in Hyd, visiting Subko was the first thing on my list. I settled in, explored their “Dukaan” section filled with beans, merchandise, and chocolates, and had a great conversation with one of the baristas. I ordered a manual brew using Salawara Estate beans, medium roast with grapefruit and chamomile tea notes, brewed using the Origami pour-over method. Watching the brew come together right in front of me is something I always enjoy, it brings out that excitement every single time. We also tried the iced chocolate, which was thick and good. I picked up a few of their in-house chocolates as well, the classic one , the salty one and a white chocolate with subtle coffee notes, all of which were quite impressive. With Chennai’s café culture growing rapidly, I genuinely hope Subko opens a space here someday!
