Had the best experience in recent times in Hyderabad. The central courtyard ambience is no where in Hyderabad, on top of it their authentic South Indian cuisine is a game changer. No restaurant is serving this kind of food in Hyderabad for sure. We had Kothu Parotta, coin Parotta, karivepaku paneer Vepudu in appetisers, Thalapakatti mutton pulao is so authentic and Elaneer pudding in desserts is a must try. If you have any special occasions try this place.

first things first, food here is worth the wait! madurai bun parotta, kothu parotta, chettinad paneer, egg biryani are out of the world! highly rrecommended. Visiting during rainy season will add to the vibe!

nice cozy place with limited seating. starters like inji puli wings and mutton coconut fry are really good. thalapakatti mutton biryani was a little spicy for my taste, but the elaneer payasam is a must try for people who like mildly sweet desserts. I would definitely visit again to try other stuff and for the elaneer payasam.

Writing a food/restaurant review can sometimes be tricky as it’s always based on personal experience against the expectations and hype associated with it especially on social media platforms. Over hyping can sometimes be the real spoilsport! Here is my rating of a new restaurant called ‘Taamara’ opened in Gachibowli. Ambience 4/5 (cool & comfortable) Design elements 3/5 (highly amplified raising expectations that can cast a shadow - Lotus theme is good but the Manduva concept is far from convincing) Reception 4/5 (easy & fast) Food Spread 2/5 (too small a menu for a restaurant claiming to be covering 5 South Indian states) Authenticity 3/5 (a lot to improve) Food Taste 3/5 (based on items we tasted - Lemon soup 4/5 Danchina Natukodi marag 3/5 (no chicken pieces & mutton marag lovers? please excuse Jackfruit cutlet 2/5 (no hint of jackfruit flavor, then why call it so) Coin parotha with mushroom top 3/5 Neer dosa 1/5 (Kannada friends will curse you) Guntur Chicken kebab 2/5 (I don’t understand the relation between Guntur & Kebabs) Bhagyanagaram Handi 3/5 Gutti Vankaya Biryani 3/5 (or is it pulav?) Eleneer Pudding 4/5 (smooth & tasteful but portion size?) Shahi Tukda 1/5 (bread is too hard for Shahi tukda - shame to the Shaan of Hyderabadi cuisine!) Pricing 2/5 (2 being highly priced) Service 4/5 (Telugu, excuse me!) Parking 3/5 Is it really artisan food as claimed in their promotions - are you joking? Opening a restaurant with South Indian Artisan food theme is a dream for many but difficult to actualize it- opening is easier, curating the artisan menu from five southern states is difficult and consistency is challenging. I normally don’t indulge in writing lengthy food reviews, but I thought it might be useful for someone planning to dine here and certainly a wake up call to the foodprenuer. Do I recommend Taamara to my friends? No. (We have far better options, don’t we?)

Lovely, cosy ambience it will make your day spl, very aesthetic. staff are really humble and sweet. but food is a disappointment. not even one dish hit the wooow factor. even I went twice to try veg and non veg dishes non of them were up to the mark. chicken starters are chewy and hard, some are really salty. even thalapakatti biryani is not that flavourful. we tried jackfruit cutlet 3/5, raagi mudde, 2/5 guthivankaya curry 3/5 neer dosa3/5 kothu parota3/5 and drumstick soup. in non veg we tried marag very salty2/5, ellipsya royyalu 2/5, thalapakatti biryani 3/5.
