Very disappointing experience for a 5-star property. Our pasta was served on a dirty plate with hairs on it. It was replaced after an apology, but I expected better handling from a hotel of this standard. The other main was decent, while the crème brûlée was extremely disappointing. Throughout dinner, staff repeatedly questioned how much discount I had received through District, even while we were eating, which felt intrusive and unprofessional. After payment, the manager kept asking me to prove my District booking and then took my phone and started taking a picture without even asking. When I asked what she was photographing, she took offence and said I couldn’t speak to her that way, leaving me embarrassed in front of my partner. My father had always spoken highly of Le Méridien, which is why I chose it. Sadly, this experience did not live up to that reputation. Won’t be returning.
