I ordered Idly vada sambar. Idly was soft. sambar is decent. chutney is average. Good service, but crowded even in morning 7:30 AM. better than many average tiffin centers as it has decent sambar as well. not much parking space.

~ Udipi's Upahar, Gachibowli ORR Crossing: A mixed-bag experience ~ My mom is fond of Dosas, so we were looking for a good place to take her out for a Dosa-lunch. Sought help from this group. Suggestions poured in, and I was confused between trying new places (Panchakuttu Dosa, Swachh, Taaza, Rameshwaram Cafe etc.) and going back to the tried-and-tested ones. After much deliberation (and consulting Google Maps extensively whether there are steps to enter the restaurant or not, as it's difficult for mom to climb up stairs), zeroed on the Udipi's Upahar near Gachibowli ORR crossing. We have been going to this place for quite some time (not regularly), and were pleased with the food. The first hurdle we encountered was for parking space. They have a good parking area, but I didn’t know that; we used to park on the side of the road, but that’s not possible now. Anyway, on a Sunday afternoon, there was quite a good crowd waiting. We chose to sit in the nin-AC area as the table was immediately available. Ordered Butter Plain Dosa, Chilli Paneer, Vanilla Shakes and Vada-Sambar. And the first (and most important) thing that hit us was, how pathetic their sambar had become. I don't even know whether that red liquid can be called Sambar anymore. It was tasteless, bland, and had a weird smell. Simply put- if it was Sambar, then I am Shahrukh Khan. No, wait, I am Brad Pitt, actually! The dosas were really good, crisp; chilli paneer was refreshing; Vada-Sambar was below average (fue to the sambar), and vanilla shakes were watery. Overall, a very mixed experience. Few items were great, few average, but all overshadowed by that horrible Sambar!!!

It used to be good but last few months there are some changes - Size of Dosa is very small now and not filling. Talked to manager and got a funny response that cooks are new. AC restaurant's service is very slow - no one comes to check if you need extra sambar or chutney.

it is more north and less south and food quality is not good, you won't get South Indian taste breakfast it's good somewhere.

Staff behaviour was rude and pathetic at the same time. They have 2 seating options, AC and non-AC Non-AC section was full, but AC section was half occupied and there was decent space Staff denied that you cannot go to AC hall after 3:30 and the time was 3:40 Many people were seating and having meal casually This was way poor to handle the customer and proudly the staff said you can leave the restaurant.

Worst food They served very less quantity of rice and no item is served second time None of the items are hot Papad rice fry nothing is hot Taste , quality, Quantity, serving everything is poor Doesn't deserve 1/5 as well

Made payment through zomato. Even though restaurant is listed on Zomato but owner denied receiving money through Zomato. Made the payment twice and in talks with zomato to process my refund.

delivered wrong order which I am medically restricted to eat..pathetic service..and all their customer care contacts are out of reach..or out of network area..extremely dissatisfied..

Careless and disrespectful staff, took 15min to take order and another 15 min to come tell us that item is not available.

Place is full of houseflies. Had a bad experience here. Will not recommend to people looking for a hygienic place
