~Van Lavino, Nallagandla~ Last night, had a very fulfilling and soul-pleasing dinner at Van Lavino, Nallagandla. The restaurant scene at Nallagandla is bustling with choices; there are new entrants almost every week, and the place is now hot-bed for restaurant incubation. Yesterday, after a movie at a nearby mall, was searching for a place to dine in, and Van Lavino stuck out. We were seated promptly upon entering, and served the menu. Though there were water bottles placed at each table, the waiter asked us whether we would like to have regular water or not. Not only that, he also proactively refilled our glasses several times, without asking. These small gestures, IMHO, are the things that create a lasting impression, and parts of a good service package. We had-- 1. Buttermilk Fried Chicken Tenders-- it was excellent. The portion size was super too (4 big pieces of fried chicken tenders). In fact, all of their food dishes have big portion sizes (information gathered from own experience and curiously looking at other tables 😁😁). 2. Lebanese Chicken on Hummus served with Pita Bread-- it was decent. Hummus was bang on, pita bread was soft. I would have liked the chicken a bit more spicy, but that's just my personal preference. 3. Irish Frappe-- Great coffee. Had a very nice aroma. 4. Newyork Cheese Cake-- Excellent (though I personally would have liked a thicker layer of biscuit at base). The bill for all of these (each 1 portion) came to 1500+. They levy a service charge, which we were happy to pay. This is my first visit to any Van Lavino outlet, and thoroughly enjoyed both the food and their top-notch service. The service part needs a special mention as the waiter-- 1. Proactively refilled water several times, without asking 2. Proactively came to our table a few times to ask if everything was alright, or if we needed anything 3. At one point, removed the menus from our table (due to space constraint); but before that he informed us the reason and also had given us assurance that he and the menus- both are just a call away 4. Apologised profusely for a slight delay in bringing the food (we didn’t even notice the delay) Kudos to the guy, and the restaurant's service standard. ______________________ P.S. One thing I had noticed was that, most of the restaurants in the Nallagandla area neither have dedicated parking places, nor valet parking facility. Customers are left to park on their own, at the side of the street or inside a lane. As most of the plots there are still empty, this arrangement somehow works, but I seriously doubt its longevity.

Food or good Price is fine for the quality of food served however the delay in prep and service needs to be improved

red velvet cup cake was absolutely nice. Ambiance was also really good. Loved the service..Must try here..

all good but NO discount on Zomato/swiggy is not good.. food is expensive but worth the taste

Vegan salad - 3/5. Average. Could nave added more tofu and chick peas. There were hardly 2 or 3. Veg spaghetti aglio olio - 5/5. Very tasty. Ambience service, staff everything was good.

I ordered americano this morning. It was really bad. very acidic and overwhelmingly sour taste. I told the barista. He was indifferent. absolutely no concern for my complaint. He insisted that it is how it will be. I brew my own coffee at home and I know a lot about it. Absolute waste of my 210 rupees. it ain't cheap :(

Elaichi chai tasted like water and elaichi mixed together. Food standard has deteriorated a lot. Even the herbed rice has no taste. Not worth it, they charge so much but it’s not value for money.

1. food is fresh but has no taste 2. they are taking service charges, without providing any service. it's practically self serve they don't serve the food in each plate. 3. you gotta wait 30 mins just to pay bill. 4. no valet parking. we had to wait 20 mins for our car to be removed. amazing brand, crappy service. highly disappointed.

Ordered sandwich and Belgium cake for take away. The cake was so so dried up and no freshness at all. Sandwich was dry and the stuffing paneer was bad too. Very bad service .
