Am in Jaipur after almost a decade. So much has changed, restaurants have sprung up like mushrooms. Wanted to start with something unique- not run-of-the- mill. So, came to this small Parsi/ Irani restaurant tucked away beneath the flyover on Tonk road. Now, Irani cafés are famous for imparting that distinctive flavour to their dishes- even common items like tea, snacks, buns. I started with the dish which has lent its name to this place- Akuri, scrambled eggs with buttered Pao. A seemingly ordinary preparation, but they did succeed in making it special! The eggs were lightly flavoured with ginger, green chillies, and a masala I could not place my finger on. With Pao, it was a delicious comfort food. For the mains, I ordered Salli lamb shank with tandoori roti. The shank was really tender and well done. The gravy was thick, aromatic and rich! Rotis were just the right softness . I enjoyed my meal. There’s so much more on the menu. Will have to come back

Pathetic food, taste wise also and quality was so bad that I had to vomit after coming back home. Coffee beans were burnt. In Dahi ke sholey the dahi was spoilt. Ambience was below average.
