Expectations are always high when you’re visiting palatial Taj property. In COVID times when we were not moving out at all, we couldn’t trust any place other than Rambagh for our outing. We went to Verandah for Hi tea with family. Already we were nuts about their Victorian platters. Chirping of birds, Squawks of peacocks, blue sky, soft breeze & amazing hospitality. What more could we ask for! Thank you Om ji, Manoj Edwin, Sarjeet, Ashok, Narendra & Yogendra for making our Sunday perfect!

The Verandah is my idea of a serene escape in Jaipur. Set amid the palace gardens, it feels peaceful and elegant. I had their mille-feuille potato layered with lentil ragout, and it was beautifully presented and flavorful. The teas here are also worth exploring—I tried a jasmine blend that paired well with the food. It’s not just about dining here; it’s about slowing down and enjoying the calm surroundings with thoughtfully prepared dishes.

This was an unique experience on my Jaipur trip. The location is awesome. You will be amazed by the peacocks roaming freely in the garden whilst you enjoy your food and drink. The hospitality is just top notch. We were in a rush so i just ordered an LIIT, but it was the best LIIT i’ve ever had. Must experience if you are in the city.

We chose this place to take our parents’ for their 35th anniversary lunch. We checked both on Condenast & Zomato and while they seemed to have good reviews for good, nowhere did they mention a requirement for reservation. When we arrived, the security mentioned walk-ins aren’t accepted and prior reservation is required. I called and enquired about the same, even requesting some adjustment since it was a special occasion, we had already arrived and were unaware of the requirement. But nothing. Just leaving this here as a request to at least make customers aware of such policies if they exist as such experiences leave a bitter taste, and so others know to make a prior reservation.

So I was here for dinner with my husband. I had already done my reservations but Firstly the manager asked us to sit separately ,though there was availability outside but he denied saying it’s for more than4 people seating(3-4 tables were empty ) then when we asked him that it’s too hot sitting at the place where we are his reply was “ two tables are empty but people will come to have desserts over there after having dinner inside and their bill is more than 20000 and you’re only two people” Like seriously what do you mean by that ? It’s 2 or 8 if you welcome more no. Of people just because they will generate more revenue and treat other customers badly what’s the use of hospitality? What kind of culture is this I don’t understand? They are degrading the value of TAJ nothing else ! Apart from this the kind of behaviour your manager showed was the worst like he was literally judging us at every point I had my wedding at taj and then this experience!! No matter you take 10times more than other places people come at your hotel by their personal choice but then your guest deserves to be treat ATLEAST NORMALLY IF NOT IN A SPECIAL AND LUXURY WAY ATLEAST LEARN TO TREAT THEM AS HUMAN BEINGS !

I called a couple of days ago to make reservations for Verandah Cafe, and the guy at the reception informed me that they don't accept reservations, it's only walk-ins. However, upon arriving at the gate, we were turned away because apparently, they don't accept anyone without reservations. When we called again to clarify, a different person, a lady this time, reiterated the same policy. Only after I mentioned that I was already at the gate and being denied entry did she bother to mention that they were at capacity and only serving in-house guests. Why wasn't this mentioned earlier? Absolutely unacceptable! We were left stranded, and this level of incompetence is shocking, especially from a reputed hotel chain.

Called to book a table for 5 on 10th April end up taking a lesson from Ms. Sri. Extremly rude. Do not expect from trained staff by Taj at all. I wanted to book a table hence called for reservation. Like any other person, i wont be remembering the hotel restaurant names & this lady was extremely rude with her tone & asking me 2 times which restaurant i am asking... Disgust approch to any guest. I use to come to this place often and surely it was the last call. I booked my stay in Taj Jaipur too which for sure standing cancel becaue of SRI.. Hence i always regret to even give taj a try over Oberoi. Lesson Learnt.. Good work Sri

As soon as the server shared the menu he said “I can only give you a seat here if you spend INR 3000+tax per person minimum” we were there for tea as its a “cafe” but it was really strange to hear this from the server. I asked, if we don’t spend that much, he rudely told then you can take samplers, drinks, and dessert, it will easily make 3000. Horrible experience and we left
₹5000 for two
