Ordered dinner today from kanchipuram branch. One of the worst food we ever got, it tastes like a left over food. The mini idly looked brown colour, only sambar was given for 5 dosas no chutney.. Waste food and worst ever not going to order ever.... Only the name is not enough.. Just justify for the rate...

This place has maintained the standards of its chain of restaurants. There is a separate AC and non AC dine ins.We ordered the following when we went for lunch; 1. Ghee paper roast 2. Ghee roast 3. Rava dosa 4. Kal dosa 5. Ghee masala dosa 6. Lemon sofa 7. Tea 8. Coffee Pros: The dosa was crispy. The chutneys were really tasty. Quantity was also upto the mark. Cons: 1. There are separate washrooms for the AC and the non AC parts which are both easily accessible. We walked to the AC washroom to wash hands unknowingly and we were called back saying that's for the AC people which felt little rude..after all it was only to wash hands. 2. The lemon soda was almost like a scam. They give you a 500rs club soda bottle with some sugar syrup and a lemon syrup ( hardly enough for a child). One pouring of the soda and the syrup is dry. One pouring will come upto 200ml. Then the rest of the 300ml of soda you need to have without any flavor. This could be improved. Because if I wanted only soda I could have bought it from outside. 3. The drinking water available - either the glass wasn't clean or the water wasn't. We noticed an oil layer over the water.( look at the pictures) Overall some improvements are possible. However this restaurant is still great and one should visit this place for good vegetarian food.

Not the Saravana Bhavan you’ve known since decades. The staff here is unfriendly towards senior citizens. You’re allowed to bring home food, but have it in a different place outside. Which is okay. But then there’s no service there for those who want to buy food. And the staff (someone in grey safari), thinking he’s being all smart, shrugs his shoulders and has a “that’s your problem” attitude.
