Follow @eatlikejo (Instagram) Do you even believe me if I say that I have flown down to Kannur airport just to be at MVK Hotel to eat Thalassery Mutton Biryani. This takes its name from the place Thalassery, a coastal town in Kannur district in Kerala. In Thalassery Biryani, the rice used is Jeeraka shaala(Seeraga samba/Jeera Rice), a short-grained fragrant rice. One can find a lot of variations in preparing Thalassery Biryani. I was on my way back from Hyderabad and I chose to come down to Kannur and I wanted to spend full day in Kannur to experience everything they had. But it rained beautifully and dampened my plans of travel but yet I found myself at the best biriyani place in Kannur. MVK Hotel is not just famous for good biriyani but i feel their meals are also best sellers and found lot of people ordering it. Spoke to the managers and they have clearly recommended me Chicken Biryani and mutton biryani, my obvious choice is anyway mutton. It took a few minutes and the biryani was here. This clearly goes one to my Kerala’s top 3 Biryani’s, that’s MVK Hotel’s Mutton Biryani, Jeff Biryani’s Bohra Mutton biryani and my mom’s Prawns Biryani😁. I’m absolutely dazzled with the fact that biriyani is made so brilliant. It lit my face and sure you guys will enjoy it! I enjoyed a sweet lemon tea with this to end the lunch. All of this for just ₹210! Wow 😍 Ambience-4/5 Service-4.5/5 Food-5/5 Value for money-5/5
