I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant, and unfortunately, it failed on almost every front. To begin with, the seating arrangement was extremely uncomfortable. For two people, we were only offered bar stools without any back support, which made it impossible to sit comfortably for more than a few minutes. It’s surprising that a place expecting guests to dine and relax would overlook something as basic as seating comfort. The service was equally frustrating. I had ordered a gin basil cocktail, and when my friend requested a similar version with vodka instead, the staff refused, citing “liquor measurement issues.” This felt unnecessarily rigid and unaccommodating for a very simple customization request. The food was average at best, but what made it worse was the delay — one of our snacks took nearly 1.5 hours to arrive. That is completely unacceptable. When we requested a more comfortable seating arrangement (a four-seater table), we were denied on the basis that we were only two people. However, a family seated right next to us was allowed the same, which clearly showed inconsistency and poor judgment. The biggest issue, however, was with billing. We were overcharged by approximately ₹500. A 60 ml vodka peg was billed at ₹900, and the quantities were incorrectly added (3 x 60 ml and 2 x 30 ml instead of the correct count). When I pointed this out, instead of correcting the mistake, the staff began arguing. It took intervention from another waiter to finally acknowledge and fix the error. This kind of attitude — arguing with customers, overcharging, and showing zero willingness to accommodate — reflects very poor management and customer service standards. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing. Average food, uncomfortable seating, slow service, billing errors, and unprofessional staff behavior make this a place I would not recommend. In a city like Kanpur, where customers have growing expectations, this kind of approach is simply not sustainable. A restaurant must be customer-centric to survive — unfortunately, this one is far from it.
