"Tadka" - the name indicates a desi touch. This was our first time at Tadka in the last couple of years. It is quite strange that we did not locate this gem till yesterday. The reason may be due to their less publicity. You may not even locate this till you reach the 3rd floor of the Ravi Moti mall and then you see a small advertisement on one of the walls near those escalators. The entrance to this restaurant is quite impressive with a large fancy designed wooden door. Once you enter, you find yourself amidst a large hall with intermittently arranged tables. We chose the sofa-table arrangement since it's comparatively comfortable. I saw the restaurant staff taking all the necessary precautions. Going by the first look, it impressed us. Then we browsed through the menu and we saw that the restaurant is multi-cuisine with all fancy oriental, continental, and Indian items. The prices were on the higher side and that is why we were slightly disappointed. Anyway, we went with the Indian items and ordered a plate of galowti kebab along with lachha parathas. Later we also ordered Kachchi gosht biryani. The galowti kebabs were extremely succulent, juicy, and amazing in its texture. The first bite of this kebab left us in complete aww. The parathas were also soft. Although this platter was of 800 bucks together, I felt that they served the purpose. Next came the Biryani layered with the dough crust in a matka. They gave us 4 pieces of tender mutton. The Biryani tasted simply majestic and I would personally rate this as the best biryani of Kanpur. We enjoyed every bit of this. The price was again on the higher side (nearly 800 bucks). Overall, we were thoroughly impressed with the food and the service. I would request the authorities to re-think the pricing part.

#HiddenGem One of the finest places in kanpur city that hardly needs any sort of introduction. That Vintage Look..Oh yeah! Some places are already the best so they actually don't need any sort of ''Dawat-E-Mashoor'' to get famous Haha! :D One of the crowd pullers in south kanpur that make me fall for food every single time. I've been there *5-6* times, ended up becoming a regular since past few years as It's our favourite place for family dinners and other gatherings. I always blame the location for it's downfall but still the best place for fine dining. Ambiance was to die for comfy sofas, fantastic mirror decor along with eyecatching high-low tables and a enchanting bar..What else could you ask for? 🥂 . Already famous for their exotic indian salad, variety of breads and Biryaani to die for *Aloo Bukhara Salan Biryani* is an exclusive treat for vegan lovers *Warqi Paratha & Naan-e-bahkhummach* will do wonders when paired with my favourite ''Kofta Dilkhush'' *Bharwan kulcha* with gobhi & cheese stuffing is an absolute delight damnnn that cheese, Ded! 🤤 . To begin with *Sunehari Khasta, Rajma Galauti* in appetizers ''Canelloni pinwheels roesti and Chilly garlic noodles'' is something out of the box ( Opt Mild Spicy ) ''Paneer Raunaqeen & Dal Quereshi'' in the main course section would end up making you overstuffed. Anddd Wrapping it with ''Kulfi-Lab-E-Mashooq'' will be doing justice totally but *Shahi Tukda & Jamuno gul* are yet another show stealers. For Indian dessert lovers their *Malaai Phirnee & Anjeer Badaam Halwa* is a must try. . The pricing is pretty decent as the food is always upto the mark. Go for *Dry martini'* and seasonal mocktails because you can't afford to skip this..!! 🍸 I'll rate this 9/10 ❤️

Starting from entry to washing your fingers, everything was quite good. Non veg platter was full of kormas and kababs, which tastes delicious. Achari paneer tikka was spicy and the paneer was soft and fresh. Lotus stem was absolutely perfect with slight taste of sour and sweet. It was very much crispy. Aloo Bukhara briyani was just awesome. Slight tanginess with nice aroma of briyani was just awesome. Overall the ambience of the restaurant was calm and peaceful. {uid:83994125}

A proper fine dine restaurant in Kanpur. Live music and a rustic vibe. The food is great and different. The taste is unique. They have special dal named dal qureshi must try.

The ambience of the restaurant was good and there was also a person singing good songs. However, the food was not good as the tomato soup was cold and taste was very bad. When the same was informed to the staff, he tried to make the same hot but still the soup was cold. We ordered Tandoori Roti, Rumali Roti, Dal Tadka and Paneer. The taste of the food was ok. Thanks!!

I am disappointed as I had ordered food(home delivery) with a clear cut instructions that I want less spicy food..but instead you guys sent me a super spicy meal, forget less spicy it was not even normal spicy.... Every single dish was super spicy and I ordered 6 items... Din't expect this from such a highly rated restaurant.. Nobody was able to eat it properly.

The management won't correct any errors in the billing from their side and will insist that you pay because of that. Aside from that, the food is good but overpriced - the prices are double than the ones mentioned here on zomato.

The landline number is not working, 2nd number never gets picked up and third one is a wrong contact number, how are you guys functioning in hospitality sector ? I need to have a word with you to host a party.
