We had come across some great reviews of Saltt, which led us to give it a try — thanks to a last-minute decision on our return to Mumbai. Our visit began with a heads-up about cover charges, especially on weekends. At the time, it was INR 2,000 per adult. It wasn’t clear whether this charge also applies to resident guests at Oleander Farms. That said, we really enjoyed our first experience at Saltt. Food We were offered a couple of wine tastings before settling on a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. We started off with the Korean Fried Chicken, which was a good pick. For mains, one of us had the Pesto Penne Pasta — we appreciated that it wasn’t cheesy and had just the right amount of creaminess. Others went for the Burnt Garlic Egg and Vegetable Fried Rice paired with Chicken in Black Bean Sauce. This combination ended up being the highlight of our lunch. For dessert, we didn’t hold back — ordering both the Coffee Pannacotta and the Kunafa. The pannacotta had a slightly bitter edge, just as expected. Ambience The tables were placed a bit too close for comfort, making the space feel a little congested. A more generous table layout would definitely improve the overall dining atmosphere. Service Surprisingly attentive and warm. One of the servers even checked if I was comfortable at our table — possibly because my expression gave away my thoughts on the tight seating! At the end of our meal, instead of the check, we were first presented with a list of everything we had ordered, asking us to confirm it before the final bill was generated. I found this practice quite impressive — something I haven’t seen at any other restaurant, whether in India or abroad. It’s a great way to avoid billing errors and confusion. We’re already thinking of visiting again, primarily for the broader experience at Oleander Farms. The property seems to have something for everyone in the family — a potential future weekend well spent!

If you are seeking a fine dining experience (not dhaba food) with less than 2 hours of drive from Mumbai that offers fine dining, craft beers, organic park and some greenery, Saltt is the perfect place. If you are in South Mumbai, taking the Atal Setu makes the drive comfortable and smooth as well. Though I booked Saltt after reaching the place, the Common House serving appetisers, drinks and live music is more vibrant compared to Saltt. You get the same food so you could enjoy your drinks and starters at Common House and then settle down for a lazy lunch at Saltt. Food is not bad at all, craft beers great if you are lucky, as not all varieties are in stock. If you are a wine enthusiast, they have a good range of imported and Indian wines; you could buy bottles at reasonable rates and enjoy with friends. Overall a calming break with a scenic green backdrop!

Had an amazing time here! The food was excellent—especially the Korean chicken and one red paneer dish, which were delicious, though a bit on the oily side. The service by Raksha was outstanding—efficient, attentive, and always on top of things. However, I noticed 3-4 managers in black jackets who seemed disengaged. They neither interacted with guests nor supported the team, appearing to just float around. It was also disappointing to see no effort made to acknowledge or celebrate special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries, even though several tables were clearly celebrating. That said, the atmosphere and ambiance were fantastic, adding to the overall experience. Despite these minor drawbacks, it was absolutely worth the 1.5-hour journey from Mumbai to enjoy a meal here. Highly recommend it!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Saltt Karjat, and it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. Known for its regal ambiance and exquisite Food, this restaurant truly lives up to its reputation. The moment you step in, you're enveloped in an atmosphere of luxury and elegance, with opulent décor that transports you to a different era . The service was impeccable from start to finish. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied throughout our meal.. Chef Shankar came to our table for food feedback and he was very polite n explained all the dishes which were on the table. khowsuey: 5* Dal makhani: 5* Briyani: 5* Ginger whiskey sour: 5*

a 75 minutes drive from BKC, absolutely worth for a brunch or dinner. consistency in food taste, addition of new varieties periodically, encourages to be a regular visitor. culture of people working there is very customer centric

Hosted by Rajendra, go there for the ambience, calmness, and of course great food. Obviously it’s little expensive but worth it at least once if you stay far from this venue. Beers of different variety to taste. Ordered Korean fried chicken, Chicken Lasagna, Chocolate & salted caramel tart. German wheat beer and Sula Rose wine.

On weekends there are cover charges applicable and pre reservations. I had high hopes when I ordered the pesto pasta, but unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. The pasta itself lacked depth in flavor—the pesto tasted flat and unbalanced, for the price they charged, I expected a lot more in terms of quality and portion size. What made it worse was when I requested a slight modification to improve the taste. Instead of addressing the issue, the dish was returned saltier than before, and just added more of pesto and was tossed. It felt like I was paying a premium for a downgraded version of an already underwhelming meal. To top it off, they don’t serve garlic bread with the pasta—something that’s pretty standard at most places and really helps round out the meal. It’s a small detail, but when you're already paying a hefty amount, you'd expect at least the basics to be covered. Overall, it felt like a poor value for money and an experience I wouldn’t want to repeat. Definitely not recommending this place for pasta lovers. Ordered their most selling cocktail which would rate it as 8/10

The place is beautiful, staff is good as well. Disappointed with the Indian food and the chef named Ankur. Very arrogant and egotistical Chef and unwilling to listen or take feedback and respond politely

I had high expectations based on the hype, but unfortunately, this restaurant did not deliver. The food was bland and overpriced, nowhere near the quality I expected. On top of that, the service at Lets Play was slow and inattentive, making the experience even worse. Definitely not worth the visit. There are far better options elsewhere.
