I went there for dinner with my family on 26th October 2019. We order 1 Dal Tadka, 1 Chana Masala, 5 Missi Rotis, 3 Tandoori Rotis, 1 Garlic Naan, 1 Green Salad, 1 Pineapple Raita and 3 Vanilla Ice Creams. The food was alright in taste (not too bad, not too great). We order for the bill and found out that we had been billed for stuff that we didn’t even order. 1 Butter Chicken, 1 extra Missi Roti, 1 Fresh Lime and 1 Butter Naan were falsely added to our bill. When we complained, the attitude of the management was very casual. They kept repeating that these types of mistakes happen all the time. Had my father not been vigilant, we would have ended up paying around Rs. 650 plus GST extra for the stuff we didn’t even order. The management said that they wrongly added items of another table to our bill. My problem with their excuse is that the concerned people on the other table had already left before we ordered the bill, hence, how can their items be added to our bill. Their bill must’ve been generated already and they must’ve paid before leaving. Also, one or two items can be added by mistake, but items worth Rs. 650 can be added by mistake in a hotel that has been running for over 20 years? I find that a little hard to believe. I think Jewels is cheating customers by wrongly billing them. People who don’t check their bill end up paying more. I request people to be more vigilant next time they visit this place.
