With the construction of the new highway, I'm really glad that new food outlets are popping up. This one is slightly old and has experienced a transition in the people who run this haveli. Well I won't say that it justifies the haveli title, coz frankly it's not as good as Punjabi haveli you will see around jalandhar or karnal .however it's unique in its location, the prices are reasonable and you do get a whole lot variety of food. The hygiene is maintained, so it's quite an ideal place for travellers though many localites and smvdu students visit haveli as a part of weekend getaway.

Location- Located along the Jammu-Katra highway where there is a serious want of nice restaurants. Ambience- Spacious restaurant with pretty decent furniture. Food- Found the food up to the mark. The Dal makhani was just perfect! The Paneer Tikka Butter Masala was the most perfect I’ve had till date. Their Gajar ka Halwa tasted beautiful with those nuts and just satisfied our craving for sweet the right way. Staff- Pretty hospitable and polite.

An awesome place with delicious food n the ambience is just love...the staffs are also very friendly and the restaurant has a wide area n awesome background for taking selfies...

On my way to Katra from Jammu, we stopped here for a late lunch. Ambience here is good with outer look of a haveli and some art work to give a village type of feel. We ordered Chole Bhature,masala papad, a Haveli Special thali, tandoori rotis and a Veg Biryani. Chole bhature were great with a side of dry aloo sabji and onions. Masala papad was roasted and not fried and the toppings were very roughly cut. Also the papad was slightly spicy. Haveli Special thali had a Paneer Makhni, Mixed Veg, Dal Makhni, 2 Laccha Paratha, Gulab Jamun, Rice, Papad, Salad and Raita. Thali was okayish decent. Veg Biryani was made in oil and not ghee..taste was decent. Service was quick initially but all later orders took time.. Overall it is okay..not exactly a haveli kind of experience that i have had in Punjab.

One of the worst place in Jammu and Kashmir, their preparation is pathetic. Waiters don't know about the availability of food. Just avoid going there
