One of the best simple family restaurants in Kochi.  Service and Food is an absolute delight .  I love to come here whenever I am in Kochi. The Ambience can be upgraded a little but not a dissapointment currently as well. It is a very crowded joint during lunch and dinner times it is a much desired restaurant by locals as well as tourists

Quick service, nice place, loved the food too :) the instant service buttons provided on the table is a big plus for the customers to get instant service.

Our very own ceylon bake house with a lot of memories.Visited with mom after a really long time and without checking the menu ordered the legendary parottas and chilly chicken..The parottas were as always too notch,however the chilly chicken was nothing compared to what we grew up with.Overall a great experience.Also ordered the shalimar falooda which was good.

We had come from Bangalore to this restaurant and relatives suggested that CBH on Chittor Road is the best in terms of service and food. Food was excellent with variety of choices. My bill number is SR0015043 & amount is Rs. 4.232 with 9 items. Must have food: • Paal porota chicken - 5/5 (Excellent) • Fish Biriyani - 5/5 • Nool Porotta - 5/5 • Fish Mappas - 5/5 • CBH Falood Special - 5/5 • Chicken Dum Biriyani - 4/5 (Not flavoured like Fish Biriyani. Looks like Ghee Rice with masala & well cooked Chicken. Kerala style. Nice quantity) Fish Biriyani was so good that we took extra parcel with Nool Porotta. Pal Porotta was Excellent and worth visiting this place again. The service is not up to mark. We had ordered 3 Chicken Dum Biriyani and 1 Fish Biriyani. We got 1 raita (onion with curd) and no pickle. In spite of informing the staff 2-3 times, after 30 minutes, we got 1 raita and 1 beet root pickle (May be Kerala style instead of lemon or mango). Not sure of pappad was a part of Biriyani but we did not get. Coming from Bangalore, either ways we did not expect to get pappad. But 1 raita for 4 Biriyani is not acceptable and no pickle. Aware that this is nitpicking, but relatives from Kerala said that earlier the service was Excellent but now it not great. Restroom is small for a big restaurant. But this is acceptable in this location at MG Road. No complaints here. This for information. Went to Ceylon Bake House with lots of expectations and ordered Chilli Chicken, Porotta, Chicken Biriyani and Veg fried rice. The Chilli Chicken was just tasting like watery chicken broth (Chilli- ??? was just a prefix). The veg fried rice had a stink and taste of egg because of cooking with a vessel used to make egg before (couldnt have it at all). The chicken biriyani and porotta were the saviours. Giving a two rating for the biriyani and ambience. Will I go back there again ? Ans. NO

I had called directly to the hotel and ordered some food at 12 30pm, i came to the restaurant to pick it up at 1. It was not ready. I went back and came back at 2:10PM. And the food is still not ready. The service is very bad, I have been hearing other customers complaining the same thing. I would not recommend this hotel for delivery or take-away.

Chicken biriyani quality is too poor. Very oily. Not sure how they still maintain their brand. Need to improve a lot
