Alas, this is the First ever review of Chiyang Kakkanad on Zomato and in my nearly 20 years experience as a Food Reviewer and Restaurant critic- this is by far the worst Indo Chinese Restaurant outlet in their category in probably the whole of Kerala. Not a Single dish, not even one, stood out to my appeal and they all competed with each other to prove me right. The only dish I would even mention is Crispy Fried Pork, thin strips of light batter fried pork- but here again they disappointed by serving tomato ketchup as dip- the minimum requirement for such a dish would be hot garlic dip or sichuan dip. All the other dishes were mediocre and below average not to mention the Chilly Beef which had a weird gamey smell- a big put off! Also to make matters worse there were plenty of eggshells in the Fried rice and noodles as well. American Chopsuey was an utter eyewash with the so called crispy noodles soggy to the core. The worst dish was the apologetic Chilli Chicken , with bone, a greenhorn cook from Tangra, Calcutta, along a sidewalk stall can make lightyears better chilli chicken than this- atrocious! Service is slow, stewards very disinterested and unapologetic. After spending nearly 5 grand here and the outcome is pittance. Best avoided!

This was, without a doubt, the worst Chinese food I have ever had. The Chinese Chopsuey we ordered was an insult to the dish, and the chicken lollipops were so subpar they would have been more enjoyable from a roadside stall. We left feeling that throwing up would have been preferable to enduring this meal, and we regretted not choosing a better place for decent food.

The food quality was extremely bad. The dishes lacked taste and freshness. I ordered chilli chicken, but surprisingly there was no chilli or spice in it. Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this place.
