Wow! Colony Clubhouse and grill gave us everything one could ask for. We visited the place for a small achievement celebration of our kids. Ms.Keerthi made all the arrangements to make them feel special. Our little ones were pampered with special giveaways, toys and complementary cakes. The ambience and the Christmas decos felt amazing. The beef burger deserves a special mention as it was a complete meal, good in quality and quantity. Tenderloin Beef, Chicken Penne pasta with Alfredo and Tomato Soup were all delicious. Huge thanks to Marshel and Keerthi.

My friend and I went for the first edition of Drunch in Hyatt last Saturday! We were very impressed with the setup which ensured maximum safety. There massive buffet spread was incredible - complete with baked goods, hot soups, sushi and pasta counters and a huge mocktail bar too. Rates are extremely reasonable for all they offer. #saturdaybrunch #saturdaybrunch #popupsaturday

We went for the Grand Sunday Brunch and the food was exceptional! Loved every single item that was served. Special shout to Mr. Rami who did a fantastic job in giving us the best experience possible.

Since the lockdown, we had drastically cut down on eating out. So when you do venture out on those rare occasions, you want it to be memorable. Colony clubhouse manages to mute out the noises of the city and with its view of the backwaters, this place gives you the sensation that you are far removed from the hustle and bustle of Kochi. Now having an excellent ambience is one thing, how about the food? We started off our dinner with the seafood soup with its prawns and crab meat etc. The broth is light and offers the taste of the sea without being overpowering. A must have if you love your seafood. As appetisers we went with the southern fried chicken and mud crab cakes. O M G. Every morsel of the chicken was packed with flavour and you could taste the spices in the crispy batter and the chicken was fresh and juicy. The crab cakes were buttery and yummy goodness. For main course we went with the mixed grill containing the lamb chops, chicken and beef with oven roasted vegetables as a side dish. The platter comes with pita bread and a dip too. Since the starters and the main course arrived at almost the same time and we were seated outside, by the time we had our main course, the meat had lost its heat a bit. But the grill was also very nice. If you are gonna do the soup, appetiser and dessert as well, the platter can serve two. For dessert we had the choco lava cake and cheese cake. They don’t skimp on the chocolate in the lava cake and the scoop of ice cream on top perfectly balances it out. The cheese cake was simply 😍. It was rich, mildly flavoured and so creamy. I loved the thing, except for the drizzle of passion fruit purée (sort of) at the side(not my cup of tea). The passion fruit iced tea on the other hand was very refreshing. We tried Zomato Pro for the first time, You just need to give the amount in the given slot in the app and can pay from there and you get 20% off. The four course meal would set you back just under 5k which is very reasonable for the fine dine experience that you get. Last but not the least, the service which can make or break the experience. No complaints there either. Very attentive and courteous staff.

Horrible experience in a 4 or 5 star hotel, the restaurant doesn't have experience staff. We were waiting for an hour for someone to come and take our order. After the order was placed food and drinks and when the food came it was not what we expected for the amount we are paying. After that the drinks came which was also horrible the bartender has to go for classes again. We had requested for a replacement or cancel the order but the staff requested that they will replace the drinks which we received but no change just that they changed the glasses. We had a small family dinner which we had ordered a cake around 5pm in the evening requesting them to sent the cake at 9pm to the restaurant after everything was then we were informed by the restaurant that they didn't receive any order or request but will arrange something and they did but it was tart small dessert and not a cake we ordered. We had senior citizens people who went home in stomach empty since the food and drinks was horrified.. in short i would never recommend anyone to this place again. When you read on it might sound that this review is written out of rage...but I have slept on it to ensure that I keep it in line. We had been enjoying a pre-new years stay at the beautiful Grand Hyatt Cochin for Dinner on night 1 we decided that we would dine at the Colony Grill. We were greeted by a waitress who told us that she could not arrange a table for 6! That was the first. However the restaurant manager swooped in to put 3 tables together and made it happen. We had given specific instructions to ensure that my nephew would be fed upfront as he was about to snooze but guess what? Never happened and my nephew had a dinner free sleep. And then the food. Well what can I say...I have not seen a 5 star fine dining restaurant chucking out plates that looks like it’s been prepared for the Zoo. We did meet the restaurant manager who did his best to do good to undo the mishap whereas the Cheif never bothered to meet us. A sous chef did meet us but claimed that the restaurant that we were in was not fine dining. A disappointing experience with poor food and lack of consideration to live up to the hype.

The 24-hour cured duck confit was overly salty, masking its natural flavors and richness. The Atlantic salmon peperonata disappointed with dry, bland salmon, likely overcooked or poor quality, despite a potentially vibrant peperonata. Both dishes failed to deliver, lacking the succulence and balance expected from these classic preparations.French onion soup was salty and portion sizes of all the dishes were too small. Generally a mediocre food experience though the service was decent.
