Finally made it to Francis. The musb talked about restobar in Fortkochi. Finding their number and booking a reservation is next to impossible. So we went in person and booked a good spot. With limited no of seats and advanced booking required, the crowd is always controlled. We arrived on time and got ourselves a good spot. After some time, the live music started. The crowd was decent on the day we went, with not much noise , so we were able to enjoy the music. Coming to the food, we ordered the calamari rings, pork sausages and kanthari chicken wings. The calamari rings were coated with a bread batter and deep fried, the pork sausages were good but the chicken wings failed to impress me and unless you asked for a dip, they do not provide one. For the price, the portion was justified. Definitely worth a visit on a trip to fort kochi.

We tried this place twice, the first time they tried to pass Chenin for sauvignon and when we asked for what we ordered it took them over 30 mins to tell us that they have run out of it. On the second visit, we waited for over an hour to get our food, got tired of waiting and left. The staff seems to be clueless about what’s happening.

Extremely pretentious and painfully mismanaged. Francis tries very hard to appear exclusive, but delivers one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in Fort Kochi. We were initially told by the receptionist, Mr. Wilfred, that there were no tables available due to “weekend rush and popular demand” — which was blatantly untrue, as there was plenty of space upstairs. Then we were asked to wait 30 minutes, without even taking our name, and later told that most tables were “reserved for a large group,” despite being earlier told that they don’t take reservations. Completely inconsistent and dishonest communication. Once seated, the experience only got worse. The pork sausage we came for was unavailable at 2 PM. What followed was an absurdly long wait: nearly an hour for the first dish, another 30 minutes for the rest, and none of the food lived up to the hype — it wasn’t even served hot. Service was shockingly slow and careless. A lime juice and the bill each took about 30 minutes, while parcelling somehow takes just 10. Our waiter, Mr. Ashwin, was inattentive, forgetful, and clearly uninterested in customer service. In the end, we gave up waiting for sliders and asked for them to be packed. They appeared on the bill, but we left without receiving them due to sheer frustration. To make matters worse, an extra dish we never ordered was added to the bill. Overall, this place is not worth the hype, the wait, or the attitude. Fort Kochi has plenty of far better restaurants that actually respect their customers. Avoid this one.

The wines were priced at crazy markups. The first option we wanted wasn't available, so we asked for a Chenin Blanc. Didn't realise it was going to be super sweet (not all Chenin Blancs are). We paid, & requested them to please give the bottle free to whomever might want it. There was zero reaction at the bar, they seemed least bothered that we'd left behind a full bottle of overpriced wine :) And I'm unsure they gave it off free in turn.

Bad. Ordered 3 dishes and had to wait 30 mins for the first two to arrive. The third one was forgotten - 45 mins later still nothing. One task style staff - if you ask them something and they go straight to the bar to tap it, you’ll get it, but if they get another order on the way they’ll forget yours. A disappointment

Extremely rude behaviour towards us who made reservations through Swiggy , The bouncer is a stupid guy who is then supported by a manager who says that all bookings made on swiggy stands automatically cancelled and that they had advised Swiggy not to accept reservations.
