If you’re ever visiting Kochi and are planning to treat yourselves with good vegetarian food, then look no further. Close your eyes and head to Gokul Oottupura. It has the perfect atmosphere as it blends the vintage vibe of breakfast eateries with modern decor. One can mentally be transported to the local coffee shops, thanks to the aroma of the freshly brewed beverage. Do try the bullet idlis. They are flavourful and dipped in the piping hot sambhar. Their dosa lineup is also something to explore. Well filled with stuffing and crispy to the extent that one would like. One of the best things was the absence of excess cooking oil which is a usual feature of crispy dosas. The hygiene standards were of the highest quality. They were clean, odour free and tech friendly (Sensor based foam dispenser).

My favourite Pure Veg Restaurant in the whole of Kochi! Gokul Ootupura near the Temple is a real cozy place. This place is set in style and simplicity. The staff is very courteous and the food is to the point - delicious. I’ve had breakfast and evening tea from Gokul’s for over six months during my posting at Kochi. This place provided some much needed “peace of mind” and you won’t mind spending extended hours here. The favourite is Pav Bhaji in the evening. The bun is so perfect and the gravy is super delicious. However, the best thing I have had from Gokul’s is their North Indian Thali - there’s no other restaurant in Kochi that would offer something like this IMHO. The Butter Roast is delicious and very crispy. Plus, this place is super clean!

When in South India, I always go to an authentic South Indian food restaurant and this is just it. It has got indoor seating with pretty cool ambience. I had 2 butter roast dosas and a rava dosa which were extremely tasty. Definitely 5/5 for both. Coffee is also a must at such places, which was also perfect. 5/5! The staff is courteous and helpful.

A good place for vegetarians , it is a must go go place for those who want to have authentic south Indian vegetarian food.

I ordered food on my train. it was delivered well and the food was good also, hot and fresh but they didn't send any spoons or plates (though, I clearly mentioned while making the order). how can someone eat in a train without a basic spoon. only dal and rice was there in 2 containers and nothing else.

Thanks to all those misguiding reviews on zomato, I decided to have lunch from this restaurant and committed a grave mistake. Placed an order for north indian thali, and trust me, if northies happen to eat this thali, they might faint at the very spot! Below are the items included in the thali: 1. Paneer - was spoilt, brought in to the staffs notice, no action was taken 2. Dal tadka - below average. 3. Aloo gobi - excess of oil and salt 4. Chapathi - too dry 5. Rice (yellow in colour) - average Didn't provide sweets and papad, which was supposed to be included in it. Hygiene was a very big issue here. Couldn't wash my hands from the wash area, as it was stinking terribly. The glasses provided consisted of stains, which looked like someone else had used it. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who's looking for hygiene and quality of food.

Ordered south indian meals as this hotel used to be good earlier. But today's experience changed the outlook completely. The taste was very bad. In sambhar only taste of flavour was of Onion and garlic. Also the curries were tasteless. The hotel must look into the quality and taste, as customers are paying their hard earned money to eat good food. Paid for food but Couldn't even satisfy hunger of the family.

Ordered Filter Coffee, didn’t get it. Was promised a free coffee on my next order, did not receive that either. Called them around 10 times, nobody bothers attending. Since I don’t want to waste anymore time on ONE coffee, decided to stop pursuing this and NEVER TO ORDER FROM THIS PATHETIC RESTAURANT EVER.

Even though they're food is good their service is very bad and slow as they have shortage of staff every time i visit.I suggest not to go out here and eat
