Service could have been better. I asked for something and they didn’t even shown up and also wrongly communicated the price of a dish which was not listed in the menu (exact price)

It was my first time dinning in grand and I could see that the restaurant is quite popular as there was a waiting for 30mins. After the long wait we ordered fish curry meals and to our disappointment it was already finished, so do come before 1:30pm to try their fish meals, hence we got veg meals with fish side and beef fry. The veg meals was one of the best I’ve had in Kochi, each and every item was delicious, coconut style fish curry was really good and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Service is average but that’s understandable as it gets difficult when the restaurant is fully packed. Overall its a great place to have some scrumptious Kerala food and will be coming back to try their famous biriyani too

Restaurant is normal. Koonthal and Syrian beef dish was very tasty. Chicken biriyani is average. Fish and veg curry meals was very good. Options were limited due to ongoing LPG issue.

I along with my family visited the restaurant on 12th 2024. We entered at 7:30 pm and probably the first set of guests. Sorry to state that the floor managers were not bothered to even look at us and guide to the table. Thereafter we waited for 10mnts and no one came to the table. The staff were standing in groups at far off spots and chitchatting !!! Very poor service .I think they need to be trained properly to handle guests. Even the food served were not hot and even warm. I will think twice before,I visit this place again. Very pathetic and waste of time and money. My table number was 24 and total billing ₹9200/- Total lack of hospitality from the staff

Service was very slow. We went at 7:30 pm and the restaurant was only half full but still the service was slow. We ordered Appam, Nadan veg kootu and Mushroom pepper fry. Food was bland and wasn't well done, especially the Mushroom Pepper fry. After giving the feedback they took the Mushroom Pepper fry back to cook it further but it hardly tasted any different. The image attached is of it after getting it cooked extra (even after that it was only half done). Salt had to be added to the curries separately as it wasn't adequate.

Review for Hotel Grand Pavilion We had a very disappointing experience at this so-called 4-star property. We ordered fish biryani, fish curry, and steamed rice. Shockingly, the steamed rice had a foul smell — clearly stale and unfit to serve. The captain himself acknowledged it was bad and took it away. Serving something so basic yet hazardous is completely unacceptable and could have spoiled our entire dining experience as travelers. What made it worse was the lack of responsibility shown. There was no manager present to escalate the issue, and instead of providing a fair resolution, the captain casually replaced the steamed rice with a higher-priced veg pulao — without even asking or showing concern — and went ahead to bill us for it. Such negligence, lack of accountability, and insensitivity towards guests is the last thing one would expect from a 4-star establishment. Strict action should be taken against the staff responsible, as this reflects poorly on the hotel’s standards and customer care. For us, this experience was enough to decide — never going back here.

**Avoid this restaurant if you care about your health and safety.** Yesterday we went for dinner and ordered chicken curry, mutton curry, rice, and Malabar paratha. The mutton was chewy, we complained and it was taken off the bill. But what happened next was absolutely revolting, we found a **huge cockroach** crawling right next to our table. When we called the waiter, he casually called someone over, laughed and everyone treated it like a joke. No apology. No urgency. No concern. This is not just bad service, this is disgusting, unhygienic and dangerous. A restaurant that treats such a serious issue so lightly should be shut down until they fix their hygiene standards.

Food is very good here. for kerala delicacies, it is one of the best places in Kochi. But eat something else and come when you come here to eat, as it will take an eternity for everything here. right from pouring water in glass, an ordered dish that never saw the light of the day, to even giving us the bill!! heights of lethargy and disinterest!!! this wasn't how the restaurant was a few years ago. very disappointed.
