First of all we were quite surprised seeing the buffet size, compared to all other buffet experiences we've had in the past, this one was quite small. But the limited number of dishes proved to be the best ever seafood we have tried in the past. In the starters section we were introduced to a couple of soups. Mainly veg and non veg, the non veg one had a creamy layer to it. It was the sort of soup that you would have a rainy day. In the section of fish delicacies, there were 2 types fishes cooked, one fried and the other grilled. The grilled one was wrapped in a banana leaf with lots of exploding flavours which would just make you drool over. We tried out a portion of kappa, meen fry and a small portion of each pickles, the kappa was like cooked perfectly and so soft. Next one was the classic veetile oonu, there was a combination of boiled rice, meen curry, varieties of pickles, fish fry, Vegetable sides etc. You could just feel that home made flavours in the meals. There are not a lot of sides to the meals, but what there is, is the best in their own way according to my experience. As malayalees, we couldn't avoid the legendary combo of porotta, normally it would be had with the beef, but this time there was this great chicken roast that's so appetizing. It was a bit spicy but as always, you NEED a spicy dish along with porotta. Porotta illaathe enth jeevitham right ?Another traditional combo was the Appam and Meen mappas. So guys, meen mappas is this mild flavoured fish curry where the green chilli flavour stands out unlike the traditional fish curry with red chilli. The Appam could've been a bit more cooked in the middle, but the curry covered for it.Next was the crab roast that i would recommend you a lot, another masterful combo with the appam !!. Final part of the main course was the seafood omelette, now appam and seafood omelette are part of the live counter. Wrapping up with the desserts, it consisted of our naadan ada pradhaman which was too good, and cheesecakes, and eclairs. Just priced at Rs 899/- for 2 persons where else would you get a seafood buffet of this quality at this price point Definitely recommend

I have tried several buffets in and around Kochi, different cuisines and different types! And out of all of them, one here at leMertime stands out! How? Well, they serve a seafood buffet at the most affordable rate and now with an on going 1+1 offer. 𝗜𝗡 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗥𝗧: This is one the best seafood buffet available in Kochi! When I came to know about this offer, I wondered about the quality of the dishes. My heart exhilarated when I stepped into the buffet hall. The moment had the first piece of fish, my fear vanished. Each and every dish they served was exceptionally good. And we highly recommended you to try this one out! Because it's the best deal a 5- star rated hotel can offer! 𝗜𝗡 𝗗𝗘𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗟: Buffet kicks of with 2 soups one veg and non veg! Non veg soup was luscious. Then we headed to the main course, it consists of 2 types of rices - coconut rice and normal rice!! Enriched with the presence of coconut, the rice was very tasty and went really well with all the curries! Speaking of curries, the stars, there was prawns mango curry, travancore fish curry! Other items on the menu were Fresh catch fish fry, koonthal roast and crab toast! Both the koonthal roast and crab roast were an explosion of flavours. I could feel freshness felt in every bite! They also had kappa, freshly made porotta, and appam! There were 2 types of omelets as well - the normal one and seafood omelet! Sea food omelet seemed like a unique dish! And they had different pickles such as meen aachar, chemmen aachar and many other aachar! Veg accompaniments were sambar, avial and other traditional dishes! And along with all these dishes they also had a chicken dish! And now the salads! Every salads were really satisfying! And my favorite, DESSERTS! They offer 10 desserts with this scrumptious buffet and each one was yummy. If you ask me about my favourite one it was pineapple strudel and pastry trot! Not only were they tasty the presentation too blew my mind. And finally to wash all this down, they had green tea and sulimani, too. . #hungrycochin #lemartime #buffet #seafoodbuffet #food #kochi #welovekochi #foods
