One of the good Arabic platter specialised restaurant in the locality..the ambience and the consistency of taste in platters are also pretty good..I also found kunafa too yummy comparing to some kunafa specialised places in Ernakulam..the only thing I felt is like the service could have been better and platters are little over priced too according to me.. and also make sure order the right quantity

Zaatar is located in Palarivattom, Kochi. Tried their Barbeque and Green Pepper Al Faham, along with fries. My only complaint here would be that the fries should have been complimentary, at least a small portion. Also, the sweet corn veg soups was below average. Kashmiri falooda was really good as well. The place was well decorated, and the service was nice.

Genuine to a great extent Arabic cuisines though all menu items are not available. Spacious place where you can relax and enjoy your food with family and friends.

Zaatar is a wannabe Arabian Restaurant in Kochi which also side hustles as a multi-cuisine range too. Visited this outlet in Palaarivattom the other day for a Family dinner. The interiors looks modern yet with streaks of ethnic lining; however the wear and tear and lack of maintenance is verily visible right from the entrance door which is conspicuously unclean to the stains on the furniture and walls- perhaps not much relevant to the untrained eye but never escapes the notice of unfortunate people like me with keen 'eye for detail', if only the world knows how much we suffer in pensive strain in the defence of perfectionism. Food in my opinion is average here at large, the only exceptions being the Tawa Fried Pomfret and Kunafa. The Special Zaatar Grill which I tried to my chagrin was vague and dreary- the subtle tastes of finesse and the succulence of barbequed meats audibly seemed a distant possibility. My heart sank when they said 'Basa' was already served as part of the seafood grills; so for the umpteenth time folks- "Basa is not seafood; it is a mercury laden, putrid, pond/ river fish, banned across many Nations due to it's significant health impacts". You can thank me later! I took out the grilled Basa filets fastidiously like we use to pick up the fuses of anti-personal mines in Kashmir during the yesteryears, and kept it aside! Touhm sauce was watery, hummus was sour and inconsistent, pita bread was baked fresh but borderline chewy. Service is standard but Special mention and kudos goes to Mr Shajan, the very tolerant Manager who was sporting enough to take my suggestions, constructive blahs and also my jejune rhetoric on Basa Fish.

Other than Paratha n chapathy... Everything else was below average... They couldn't get the soup(sweet corn chicken) right... Chicken ra ra was pathetic.. taste was bad.. n the oil.. oh my god.. the US govt will send their troops to make it theirs!!! Over all below avg experience...

I ordered waves of Zaatar platter at the restaurant. The menu although Arabic had every item translated in english for eg. Fish, squid, however upon reading the item I realised they had served beef When informed the hotel staff that it was not mentioned in the menu, they said that 'leham mashwi' means beef. I informed them then why have they mentioned fish, squid separately if they expect it to be understood by customers. The duty manager just apologised that they'll change the menu. On asking if they have any complaint register, they said that there's no such facility. There was no compensation by the hotel staff. I strongly believe that this act is unprofessional and would hurt a lot of religious sentiments.

Very bad experience on yesterday (14.02.2021) from one of the staffs who came to take our orders. After serving the starters, I called him for second order. He surprised me saying kitchen is closed and nothing will be served. Usually they have to inform us and take the final order before closing the Kitchen. When I complained this to the reception.. the person in the reception was not at all responding to our complaint and person who served us responded in a rude way.. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone.....

Very very bad experience during car dine in… firstly the car dine in facility is introduced to reduce the chance of spread of pandemic… but they give the menu card (after request ) and we are supposed to give the order inside the restaurant which is illogical… the table that they provided was not cleaned properly …tissues were not provided despite of requesting the same…and the most funny part is they charge an additional fee for car dine in and this experience is what is offered by them

It was a very bad experience we are faced yesterday. A dead crocoach found in our food and also unclean wash area, very bad smell from toilet. Never ordred food fro this restaurant

Kept the order pending on both occasions and after about 15 min they cancelled. No point in being on Zomato if you can’t accept order!
