If you eat Bengali food for sport, this buffet is your arena. The spread goes well beyond the usual suspects. Alongside the everyday Bengali staples, they do regional dishes that most restaurants don't bother with — Chital macher muithya, loitta shutki. Real stuff. The desserts lean on Nolen gur, which, if you're Bengali, you already know needs no explanation. On my last visit, I ate until movement became a theoretical concept. I worked through Chital muithyas, mutton kasha, and chingri malaikari with the focus of someone who had nowhere else to be. The desserts didn't happen. I have no regrets and also no apologies. The kitchen doesn't chase trends. No Tequila Fuchka, no fusion gimmicks dressed up as creativity. Fish paturi, bhapa fish, tel koi, kalo bhuna mangsho — they cook the food that Bengali cuisine is built on, and they cook it well. The taste is honest. You can tell nobody in that kitchen is trying to impress someone from out of town. Go hungry and wear loose pants.

The food came in a little late, you need to go with ample amount of time at hand. Food is slightly expensive. Service was good though and staff were warn and friendly.

The start was a disaster. The Hostess was rude and inhospitable. However, upon voicing our displeasure, the Manager Sourav, more than made up for it.

Really pathetic experience. Visited the restaurant after booking slots on district. When entering the restaurant manager told us that seats via app platforms would be a la carte and our food will not arrive on time. He urged us to take buffet option, which does not take payments via apps. When I asked why would a restaurant not have food to serve in time, he smirked and rudely told us that bengali food can never be prepared and served within 30 mins. Such a shameful claim, I have been to many bengali cuisine restaurants, and never faced such an experience. Why even run a restaurant if you can't serve a la carte options in a timely manner? Are other bengali restaurants a scam if they can prepare items on menu in time and you cannot? It is just a tactic used by restaurant managers to get users to go for their buffet options. Its just a shame with the cockiness they have to openly make such stupid claims and dissuade people from not booking seats on apps. Shameful!!

Very disappointed with the service at 6 Ballygunge Chowringhee. The staff’s behaviour was rude and unprofessional. While we were still eating, they repeatedly rushed us and asked us to leave because it was close to their closing time. If the restaurant was about to close, they should not have accepted our order in the first place. As paying customers, we expected to finish our meal peacefully, not feel pressured to leave midway. The staff seemed more interested in clearing tables than ensuring a good dining experience. The food was fine, but the poor customer service and disrespectful behaviour completely ruined the experience. I hope the management trains their staff to treat customers with more courtesy and avoid accepting orders if they cannot serve guests properly until the end of their meal.
