We tried Malai Chicken Kebab in the Starters and it was undoubtedly good in taste , and in the main course we tried Mutton Biryani, Mutton Rezala and Tandoori roti. The Taste was so good. Will give it a 4.5 ⭐ for overall dining experience and taste

Had the worst experience at arsalan, I went with my family and I’ve been to the restaurant couple of times but this time there was dead fly on the table we ignored it, washroom was super dirty still ignored it and then there was a BUG in our side salad after looking at it, I totally lost my appetite, it was so disappointing, when we called the server and told her about the bug she ran away with it. So that we were not able to click picture.

We visited the new Arsalan outlet in Beck Bagan today, and honestly, it turned out to be a very disappointing experience. We were a group of 11 people, and things started going wrong right from the beginning. We ordered 2 plates of kebab, but instead of serving everyone together, the staff served 5 of us first, and the remaining 6 were served more than 30 minutes later — even though we were all seated at the same table. Before everyone even got their starters, the main course started coming out — again in random batches. First 5 people were served, then 2, then another 2, and the last 2 got their food when most of us had already finished eating. We eventually had to tell everyone to just start before the food got cold. We had also ordered salad along with the biryani, but almost everyone finished their biryani and the salad never arrived. We had to cancel it at the end. And when we asked for the plates to be cleared, the captain in charge replied very rudely, saying, “ek haath me khali plate do, dusre haath se lo.” That kind of tone and behaviour was completely uncalled for. For a brand like Arsalan, this level of poor service and such rude staff behaviour is totally unexpected. The captain’s attitude was extremely disrespectful and uninviting. After this experience, I honestly have no wish to visit this outlet again.

We are a very great lover of your restaurant food. I regularly buy 3 Irani khichri from your Park Circus outlet most if the Friday. Today we got only small pieces of meat in a box. We were very disheartened. At least few more pieces should be provided in a box.

Last month, we had the pleasure of visiting Arsalan, one of Kolkata’s most iconic names when it comes to Mughlai delicacies. True to its reputation, the food was rich, flavorful, and left us craving more. We tried : 🔥 Chicken Tandoori (Half) Our meal began with a classic Chicken Tandoori. Two perfectly marinated pieces of chicken arrived at the table, hot and sizzling, served with a side of crisp green salad and a refreshing mint chutney. The chicken was smoky on the outside with that signature charred texture, while the inside remained tender and juicy. The spices were well balanced, not too overwhelming, allowing the natural flavour of the chicken to shine through. Every bite dipped in the chutney was a burst of tangy freshness that elevated the dish. A delicious and satisfying start to the evening! 🍲 Special Mutton Biryani Of course, a visit to Arsalan is incomplete without their famous Mutton Biryani. The plate came loaded with fragrant, long-grained rice, delicately spiced to perfection. Along with the rice, it was served with two generous pieces of soft, juicy mutton, a golden fried potato, and a boiled egg all of which make Kolkata biryani so unique. The mutton was melt-in-the-mouth tender and soaked in rich flavours, while the rice carried that irresistible aroma that instantly makes you hungry. Every spoonful was flavourful and satisfying, a true reminder of why Arsalan’s biryani is considered legendary. ⭐ Overall Experience Our experience at Arsalan was nothing short of delightful. The tandoori chicken set the tone with its smoky richness, and the special mutton biryani sealed the deal with authentic flavours that define Kolkata’s love for biryani. If you’re a fan of Mughlai cuisine, Arsalan remains a must-visit destination that never disappoints.

Food is everything on the top here, Hence ambience and all doesn't matter. First choice for food lovers. Service is also fast and friendly.

I recently visited Arsalan at Park Circus, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience — especially in terms of hygiene. From the moment we were seated, it was hard to ignore the poor cleanliness standards. The plates were visibly stained and not properly cleaned, raising immediate concerns about overall hygiene in the kitchen and service areas. While Arsalan is known for its biryani and Mughlai dishes, it’s hard to enjoy a meal when basic cleanliness is overlooked. The cutlery also didn’t seem fresh, and the table setup felt neglected. For a restaurant with such a reputation, this was frankly unacceptable. Food might still be flavorful, but hygiene is non-negotiable. Until they improve their cleanliness standards — starting with the dishes they serve on — I wouldn’t recommend dining in at this location.

Short version: Dont order lucknow biryani from here. Long version: I am a regular eater at Arsalan and the chinar park location serves the best and consistent food by far. This is not the tale of the Arsalan spl mutton biryani but its lesser known version of lucknowi boryani. Unfortunately, this time I was staying at Park street and decided to order the lucknow mutton spl biryani for change. To start, the food was terrible. It was so spicy that there was nothing about the fragrance or subtle biryani flavours. If you doubt what I am saying, I can tell you that I have had biryani from Wahid, Tunday and Idris (ask any lucknowi what that means and he'll confirm my knowledge of biryani). This was more like a tehri made super fast by my maid when i was a bachelor and studied and lived in outskirt city of Greater noida. It was awful. See the red oil in there. I found pieces of tomato, green chili in the rice and could feel the masala on my tongue. Had to throw away the whole thing. To conclude, dear arsalan I love what you serve but please dont serve midiocre shit to people who love food and biryanis. If this standard is acceptable, I fear this would be the start of decline for Arsalan.
