I have tried Hazelnut latte (which was great), Brownie frappe (not that good), Breakfast platter with add on grilled chicken (It was delicious), Grilled fish (expected a better quality), tiramisu (terrible) ! Overall food (3/5), ambience (4/5), staff behavior and service (4.5/5).

We went to Park Street Barista hoping that a good evening coffee and a light early dinner would be nice... but what a nightmare! From the start, the place felt unwelcoming and disorganized. We clearly placed an order for three drinks and three food items, with two of us standing at the billing counter and reading directly from the menu, so there was little room for confusion. The ordering process itself felt misleading. For the bubble coffee, we were asked whether we wanted it with water or ice cream and were told ice cream was better, so we agreed. Only later did we realize the ice cream was charged extra, without that being disclosed. We were also asked whether we wanted the coffee stronger, both for the bubble coffee and the iced Americano, but were never told that “stronger” meant an extra espresso shot costing ₹50. Whipped cream was also added and charged separately without proper communication. It felt less like recommendations and more like deliberate upselling through ambiguity. We were also told that the only water options available were tap water or a ₹150 bottled water for 1 litre, which already felt absurd for something you could buy outside for a fraction of the price. To make matters worse, after we had already placed the full order and waited 20–25 minutes at the table with food and drinks arriving, we asked about the missing water and were then told bottled water could not be billed under Zomato discounts and would be charged separately. On top of that, we overheard staff telling multiple customers that Zomato discounts would only apply if their bill exceeded ₹2000, despite no such condition being mentioned on Zomato. Our bill crossed that amount, but the lack of transparency was concerning. Then came the actual disaster: the service. One drink was initially presented to us as bubble tea. When I pointed out that I had not ordered bubble tea, the staff corrected themselves and said it was the bubble coffee. Later, while we were asking about the missing iced mocha, we were told that the very same drink was actually the mocha. When I pointed out that moments earlier we had been told it was the bubble coffee, the response was that we had never ordered an iced mocha at all. The contradiction was absurd. Food service was no better. We ordered a chicken tikka sandwich but were served a chicken tikka pizza instead. Instead of acknowledging these mistakes or trying to fix them, the staff repeatedly shifted the blame onto us. By that point, a lot of time had already passed, we needed to get home, and we were too exhausted to keep arguing over every mistake. To be fair, the grilled fish was decent and probably the only acceptable item on the table. The smoked chicken and potato dish was poor, the pizza was forgettable, and the coffee itself was average at best. I can understand occasional mistakes or slightly underwhelming food. That happens. But hidden charges, misleading upselling, poor service, and constant gaslighting made this experience genuinely frustrating. Not recommended. Run from this place. Don't negotiate. Run.

The ordering felt misleading: for the bubble coffee, we were pushed toward ice cream, then charged extra without disclosure. “Stronger coffee” for both the bubble coffee and Americano meant ₹50 extra espresso shots, again never disclosed, and whipped cream was charged separately too. Water options were either tap water or a ₹150 bottled water. We also overheard staff telling customers Zomato discounts only apply above ₹2000, despite no such condition being mentioned. Service was chaotic: one drink was called bubble tea, then bubble coffee, then later claimed to be mocha, before we were told we never ordered mocha at all. We ordered a chicken tikka sandwich and got a pizza instead. Grilled fish was decent; everything else was average to poor. Hidden charges, misinformation, terrible service, and constant gaslighting. Avoid.

Went to Barista, Park Street expecting a nice coffee outing and left with one of the worst café experiences I’ve had. We were constantly gaslighted, our orders were repeatedly messed up, and the staff kept blaming us for their mistakes. Hidden charges were everywhere: ₹50 extra for “stronger” coffee, extra charges for ice cream and whipped cream, none disclosed upfront. Food was mostly bad to average, except the grilled fish. We were also forced to deal with their unofficial ₹2000 “rule” for Zomato discounts, despite no such condition being mentioned online. Poor service, overcharging, misinformation, and zero accountability. Avoid.
