All of us know about Koshe Kosha and their famous bengali cuisine food. Biryani Kolkata is one of the latest franchise of Koshe Kosha. Coming to the food, ambience and service: 1. Food- The quality of the food was great, and so was the quantity. We had: ~ Chicken and Mutton Awadhi Biryani- The piece of chicken and mutton was hug. The aloo was soft, and so was the chicken/mutton. The rice of the chicken was a bit over boiled though, to make the biryani light and more healty. Actually they focus in serving healthy biryani, that's why the rice was soft, not like the usual biryani, that we have. They also serve a gravy with the biryani. ~ Chicken and Mutton Rezala- Rezala is one of the best dishes which can be served with any assorted Indian breads or Biryani. The gravy of the rezala was great, you can feel the essence of butter and dahi. ~ Chicken Chaap- The relation of Biryani and chicken chaap is world famous. The quality of the chicken was great. The gravy was really tasty. Rating- 5/5 2. Ambience- The place is small, but calm and comfortable. It can hold upto 20 to 24 people. Rating- 3/5 3. Service- The best part about a place is their hospitality. Their hospitality was great, everyone was so humble. Their behaviour was good and they were very polite. Rating- 5/5

BIRIYANI KOLKATA! New feather added to the cap of Koshe Kosha in Behala, while Koshe Kosha brings you bengali cuisine, Biriyani Kolkata on the top floor introduces North Indian Delicacies. In the frame: Mutton and Chicken Biriyani Mutton Rezala -Recommended. Soft, succulent mutton pieces dipped in delicious curry which is made in Yogurt, Cashew and Poppy seeds paste that gives it a rich flavour. The dish is filled with loads of flavour and subtle taste from the use of cardamom and nutmeg. The curry is best enjoyed with Garlic Naan or Wheat paratha for a perfect evening meal. Chicken Chaap- Recommended. Combination of juicy and moist chicken pieces and rich and thick gravy. I believe any biryani is incomplete without Chicken Chaap/Chanp. Some people like Rezala but I prefer rezala with Rumali ruti. So when bisyani was on my table chaap had to be there at any cost along with raita and salad. So if you stay in or around Behala, drop into this new outlet with your family or friends because this place is overtly pocket friendly!❤

Biryani Kolkata is a new venture of the well known Bengali restaurant chain koshe kosha. They have opened their first branch in behala. Recently we went to try some of the stuff they had to offer. Ambience - was pretty good and cozy with seating capacity of around 30 people. Food - ✅ Mutton biryani - the biryani we had was very different from the biryani we have frequently. It had a very subtle flavour not at all oily and was very light. The mutton pieces were also soft and decent is size and a good piece of flavored potato to go with it. I loved it. ✅ MUTTON REZALA - this did quite went well with the biryani..had 2 pieces of mutton, the meat was tender and flavourful..and the gravy was medium spicy. ✅CHICKEN CHAP - had 1 big piece of chicken but the meat was not dry near the middle. ✅FRESH LIME SODA - need this companion to cool down the richness of the biryani and gravies. Moreover the staff over here are very helpful and welcoming and worth a mention. Do visit this place to try a completely different taste of biryani.

As I am quite a big fan of Koshe kosha, as soon as i heard that they have opened another venture I had to try it. Went in with a group of friends. The outlet for Biryani kolkata is located on the James Long Sarani just beside brand factory. The seating area accommodates about 25-30 people at a time. It is quite well lit and ambience is plain and simple. Service is quite good, maintaining the same as it is for koshe kosha. For food, I tried the following: 🔹MUTTON BIRYANI : This was served with raita and a salan to go with it. The mutton and potato in the biryani was simply melting in the mouth. The taste was quite good and the dish was far less oily than at many other places. It dint make me feel heavy. The downside was the fact that the rice was a little overcooked and didnot provide the required bite to it. 🔹CHICKEN CHAAP : I loved the gravy of the chaap. It was filled with fried onions which gave it a very good texture too. The chicken pieces in it was huge but still it maintained it's softness. Went perfectly with the biryani. 🔹CHICKEN REZALA : The white gravy was quite light and buttery. Would definitely go well with some Indian breads. Also, had their green salad and coke with the meal. It definitely was a complete meal. The quantity of each item was really good and price is mid range affordable!

Located just above the outlet of Koshe Kosha in Behala, is this newly opened restaurant specialising in an elaborate Indian Menu. This place demonstrates top notch hospitality, besides putting in a lot of sentiment and flavour to their food. Their Biryani especially, has a wholesome touch to it with the blend of spices, is light for the stomach, and also quite a portion. The rice was a bit overcooked though, but the mutton and aloo pieces were soft and so fine to chew. Their sides consist of delicacies like Chaap and Rezala which comes in colours of white or red and are spicy and tasty to their fullest. Besides the food, the interiors are spacious enough to fit a number of people, and with the help and service of the staff present there, one can have a fine dining experience! 😊
