They are serving at Biswa Bangla Gate Restaurant and I'm fortunate enough to witness their service there today. Had • Honey Chilli Potato • Khuska Pulao • Butter Naan • Thakurbarir Kosha Mangsho Each and every item was delicious, most importantly the quantity was more than enough for two person. I really love the experience.

Cafe Ekante is hosting Ilish Parbon from 30th June to 15th July (2023). After coming across this advert we decided to visit the place. Lunch starts from 12:30. You need to buy tickets to get inside (₹300 per person which needs to be paid online via UPI). You can show this ticket during billing to get the same amount as discount. We ordered Steamed Rice, Chanar Dalna, Ilish Bharta (tasted best and quantity was sufficient for 3-4 people), Tel Ilish, Ilish shorshe and Ilish Paturi. Amongst these we loved the paturi the most since it felt like the Ilish was not marinated properly or cooked in the gravy for long. The fish taste was good and priced moderately, although these were not fresh but cold storage fish from last year. When we visited, it was around 3 in the afternoon. The restaurant was not packed yet it took them around half an hour to serve us the dishes. Overall it was a ok experience and suggest everyone to give it a shot, just for the Ilish Bharta.

We had booked a large family get together mainly for the aesthetic and availability of Bengali food and were a bit worried but everything went well. It was a very busy sunday so there was some delays but some of us were engrossed in adda so we were also forgetting. Once or twice some in our party would remind but service after was prompt. The waiters suprisingly dealt with all our elderly aunts and uncles with a lot of grace and tact (we didn't have a good experience in another restaurant previously). The fish fry were good and the daab chingri looked great and was fresh this day. The Malpoa, gondhoraj lassi and flavoured ice creams were well liked by the non-bengali members of the group. The luchi was good, only the Basonti pulao wasn't up to the mark. The seating was by the window and the view of the garden and lake is just lovely. Their inside decor includes some traditional paintings including a tongue-in-cheek one and there are some nature photographs.

Went to this for the 1st time today for lunch. It's a nice place to dine in. Nice view and decent ambience. Service was decent as well. We ordered paneer Tikka, bhetki fish fry, paneer lababdar, chicken lababdar and naan. Taste wise few were good and few were average. But overall a nice place to have food. Specially when it's located at a place where crowd is not a problem for them but still they maintained a decent quality. Definitely it's a place to try out food.

This place is on a pretty island inside eco park in the bustling Action Area 2 of New Town. There is a 5min boat ride which you could use to reach the island. Evening ambiance I found more scenic and perfect place for a family dining or a date night. Food is good, we tried a bunch of authentic Bengali cuisines and we loved it. Service is Ok. Overall a good visit.

Food was good, however staff should be trained to attend guests asap and not to be kept waiting for a call

food taste and quality deteroited. Went for a family lunch last month with high expectations as had good food experience pre covid time but utterly disappointed and embarrassed this time. mutton kosha was bad...very hard and mostly bone pieces. bhetki paturi taste blunt..fish was also not bhetki. flavor missing from basonti polao. fish fry was their signature dish but now its worst than road side sfall. dab chingri was disastrous. overall bad experience and doesn't worth the money spent. regret going there and wasting money and time both.

Staff the receptionist and all the employees out here are damn rude in behaviour. Make an online seat booking via Swiggy and they would say we don't accept and we don't entertain such booking. Be careful with such fraudulent cafes
