Great food, every dish was simply amazing. If you have to introduce someone to bengali cuisine this place is just the right spot to visit.

The Weekend dinner was a pleasant experience at the eatery, right on the main road of Prince Anwar Shah Road - Jadavpur Thana crossing. Neat decor & good food, is what I would summarise after our first time visit at the place. I would definitely be back for more of their offerings on the menu. To begin the meal were the crumb fried Bhetki Fish Fingers. Fresh fish crumb fried tasted well on the palate. This gives me enough incentive to try their Fish Fry, on the next outing. My rating - 5/5 The Gondhoraj Fried Chicken turned out to be a pleasant find. Slivers of chicken breast marinated in Gondhoraj lime juice & yogurt infused marinade and sautéed on low flame. The flavours and aroma of the lime was apparent and the yogurt marinade rendering tenderness to the chicken. My rating - 4.5/5 The Luchi and Dakbanglow Chicken Curry turned out to be a stellar affair as well. Though many debates and literary battles have been fought over the authenticity of a Dakbanglow Chicken Curry or a Railway Mutton Curry or a Goalondo Steamer Curry, I would thereby stop short of adding more fuel to that fire. Simply put, if I treat this just as a Chicken preparation well made with yougurt and crushed garam masala, I feel that would be more apt to do justice to this dish. The flavours of freshly grounded garam masala, especially the cardamom and cinnamon was quite apparent, to the palate. This gives me enough reasons to come back for an encore and also try out their Mutton preparations. My rating - Luchi 5/5, Chicken Curry - 4.5/5 We did order a Chicken Biryani, which most Bengali restaurants in Kolkata, don’t make well. And they didn’t exceed my expectations. It’s a preparation one should avoid with a barge pole. My rating - 1/5 The bill amounted to somewhere within ₹1200 for 3 of us, which is a fairly decent sum at a mid range restaurant by Kolkata standards. Overall, a fairly good experience on our first outing.

We ordered, posto narkel bora, chingri bora and gondhoraj chicken fry. All the starters were excellent. In main course , we ordered, mutton bhuna and Patoler dolma. Mutton bhuna was ok. But the non-veg Patoler dolma was not good. The outer surface was hard. The taste of the filling could have been better.

I ordered fish fry, macher matha diye mug dal, jhuri aluvaja, sukto, illish bhapa, mutton, chatni... the food was so tasty except illish bhapa...getting bad smell from illish bhapa...Ambience are too good...Staffs are very well behaved.

They don't accept any payment through Zomato during puja even though it's showing 35% off here, so the minimum courtesy for them would be to provide 4 decent mutton pieces for paying rs 450. Instead we were provided with one pure fat piece and two other were 60% bone piece. If you are charging so much do negotiate with your supplier wisely.

We booked from District zomato.ordered Bhetki paturi, mutton, luchi and rice. BHETKI FISH WAS NOT FRESH AND Hard, the mutton was out of fridge and also not fresh. Very bad experience.Rice and luchi was okay. Service is okay.
