I've eaten here several times at this point. It's a very non-intrusive restaurant, the tables are set at just the right distance from each other and the ambience has always been comfortable enough to carry on a conversation. The toilet is always clean (but could do with toilet paper - and doesn't allow anyone other than paying customers). I love the fact that they always serve a basket of complimentary prawn crackers. Even their table setting is really charming. Their bill comes with a token candy - all of this makes the place feel very welcoming. Their food is almost consistently great. I love their steamed wantons - it comes in a soup/broth. I've had their garlic noodles and meifoon and loved both. Great roast pork - very well flavoured. Most of what I've ordered has been very balanced in taste. Tried the butter garlic squid recently and it had a tasty sauce although I didn't taste much of the squid. The pujo menu is slightly different from their regular menu so it would do well to ask ahead. I love this place and I'll go back always.

Cantonese Restaurant in Jadavpur offers an exceptional dining experience. The food is consistently delicious, with authentic flavors across Chinese and Thai dishes. I especially enjoyed the fried prawns and coconut ice cream, which were outstanding. The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. The staff are courteous, attentive, and ensure a smooth dining experience. Prices are reasonable for the quality, and the presentation is excellent. Overall, it’s one of the best places in Jadavpur for Cantonese cuisine—highly recommended!

A pretty decent Chinese cuisine corner. We were a group of 4 and per head cost was around Rs. 500/- Really satisfied with their food and service. Kudos.

we went there to celebrate my birthday. for starters we ordered tom yum soup, crispy chilli baby corn (my son's favourite), chicken teriyaki, chicken sui mai and chilli basil dumplings. all of that was really good. among the drinks we liked the fresh lime soda and pina colada the best; although to be honest, virgin mojito and masala cola dis their job well. For the mains we ordered mixed meifoon, mixed thai fried rice, chicken in black bean sauce (note to self, too salty for my liking, reminder never to order the dish again) and chilli mustard fish (now this was the only disappointment out of everything we had ordered. this dish is meant to have a tangy mustardey flavour but it fell flat and missed the mark). Zomato Gold helped pay the bill and we, the happy diners headed back home. yeaaayyyyy to another chapter in life.

First of all, the behavior of the staff at Contenas Hotel is very bad, and what's worse is that I went to visit there on the Navami day of Durga Puja and when I went there, I was standing in line, there were two people in front of me, a couple and a family. Suddenly, a couple came out of nowhere and said that we had already lined up, but they were not standing anywhere under the hotel, but the hotel staff said, yes, they had left their line, but if there is really a rule for leaving such a line, then it should be mentioned or a list of names should be made from the booking, and the hotel authorities started to tease me a little about this and after standing for a long time, isn't it normal that as a customer, when I am standing in line, they will suddenly come and want to enter my place, I will leave and not only that. When I tell them that they have left the line, can it happen in a hotel where people have lined up in so many places on the Navami day, they went to the street to get so
