This has an old school charm! A very beautiful place for spending your time and having a drink in absolute relaxation. This is situated at B B Ganguly Street, at Poddar Court area. Central is the nearest metro station. It has AC & non AC two segments. The place has no music, so you've to depend on good conversations! Cecil is one of the cheapest bars in Kolkata, and a favourite place for office goers, as they visit here before heading towards home. The food is really good. We tried Crispy Chicken and Egg Pakora, both turned out tasty, not even oily! The alcoholic beverages come at very reasonable prices! The behaviour of the staff is also very humble.

This place is a hidden gem in North and Central Kolkata. If you want to avoid the crowd of Tiretti bazar, yet want to try same flavours alongwith other variety of dishes and alcohol, then Cecil Bar and Restaurant is a must visit. They have both AC and non-AC sitting area. Both the sections are quite spacious and live bar counter. Service is quite fast and people are friendly here. From their menu, had tried: Chicken clear soup, Fried chicken, Pan fried noodles, chilli fish. Pan fried noodles was just fabulous, one of the best I've ever tried. Soup was also very soothing. Chilli fish was yum, not super spicy.

Sometimes on weekends I have a beer in the outlet. It is a low key restaurant and very pocket friendly. It is mainly frequented by people returning from office or people passing by. The food is awesome here irrespective of thinly crowd in a working day or heavy footfall in the weekends. The place is highly recommended for 1.Awsome food quality and quantity. 2.pocket friendly. 3.excellent service and staff behaviour 4.low key decor but adds to your fun quotient. But remember it is not a place for anything fancy but u can have a wholesome experience regarding drink and food. Keep it up CECIL👍

So it's one of those places where you can simply chill out with your friends in relative peace, sip some beer and enjoy food at below pocket-burning cost. It's quiet because its some distance from CR Avenue and unlike Chungwah or Broadway doesn't draw as much attention. Price is equivalent to that of Broadway. They gave some Bengal gram-onion mixture with alcohol. Sweet and sour soup was good albeit a bit chilly. Egg chowmein was good too, nothing fancy. Egg biryani would have been good but theymade it unnecessarily salty and the eggs got broken. Otherwise good.

I should say first the food is really good. Chicken tikka kebab is juicy soft. Fish garlic kebab was also good. But I think they should give proper attention on cleanliness . The plate had mark of food. The glass in which I drank water had smell of alcohol.

The staff's behaviour is really bad, I went there with my friends and it went a bit loud, they told us "stop this thing or we will bill your things and get you out." Still we stayed but the food is really bad, you can get plenty of good food with this money. Complate waste! After this worst service they even asked for tips!
