Ahuna Meat from Champaran ki Rasoi Champaran Ki Rasoi, is a small outlet behind Acropolis Mall which is serving some mouthwatering Champaran style cooked meat which is also known as ahuna meat. The preparation of the meat has been derived from Champaran District. The meat is prepared in handi with varities of in-house spices, ghee, garlic and other ingredients and is cooked slowly over charcoal. The taste of the meat becomes very much tasty and is different from the meat we usually cooked over stoves. After the handi opens you can smell the aroma of the spices and cooked mutton which leaves your tastebuds watering. We tried: -Mutton Seekh Kebab: ₹200 - Chicken Tass: ₹150 - Chicken Stew with Litti: ₹150 for 4 pcs - Mutton Ahuna: ₹1000 per kg - Murgh Ahuna: ₹900 per kg - Paratha: ₹15 Honesty speaking the ahuna meat goes best with the lachha parathas. So for every non-vegetarian this place is a must to explore your tastebuds. (Note: The prices are given as per Dine-in Menu. Taste of the dishes may vary depending upon other circumstances. )

Wel it has been ages that I have har a mutton curry that was not bengali and not creamy/or cashew dalda rich. The Champaran style of cooking in earthen pots has been a trend that people are getting familiar with and It is beautiful that regional cuisine is getting the exposure it deserves. India is a country where every region has so much to offer with respect to culinary traditions. This was my first tryst with this stunning dish ( since I've not had it before, It was a blank canvas) and I was elated with the result . Meat was tender, flavour was earthy, rustic and what I liked the most that the mustard oil was the hero and retained it's glory which usually does not happen. Tasted amazing with soft fluffy fulkas. Located behind Acropolis mall ... I'm Surey gonna have some More soon Champaran Ki Rasoi ... Amazing

perhaps one of the most authentic ahuna mutton i've had. it is good that the menu is short and unwanted items are not there.. the traditional ahuna is better.. ghee ahuna with cashews etc is good but sarso ahuna is better.

Champaran style mutton from Champaran Ki Rasoi Heard a lot about this traditionally cooked mutton in dum style on slow charcoal or wood fire in earthen pots. The secret of this delicacy is the use of whole spices, freshly ground masalas, whole garlic, mustard oil which carries the essence of the home-style cooking from the districts of Bihar. The famous dish is also known by another name 'Mutton Ahuna'. The dum style of cooking and the use of garlic bulb elevates the taste of the dish to the next level. Can be tried with roti or steamed rice.

Champaran Ki Rasoi is located just behind of Acropolis Mall at Kasba. They have no outlet in kolkata,Zomato has shown they have also a restaurant at Dr.Sarat Banerjee Road near Southern Avenue,It is closed one year ago. This outlet has no seating arrangements, you have to sit outside of footpath.Yesterday We,ve been there for dinner. We ordered 1 Kg Ahuna Mutton & Ghee Paratha. They served it after 30 minutes.Mutton Pieces are juicy & well marinated also.If you want to taste different cuisine of Mutton, then go there.

Horrible bad quality. Serious hygiene issues. They forgot this is in Bengal, not UP-Bihar where such low quality food can be passed off as cuisine. Anyways, stay away from this place.
