Hi, Today while visiting Desi lane, Esplanade Metro Cinema Outlet with some friends, the session started with tasty food , good ambience and professional staff behavior but ended with some horrible, gruesome, disgusting memories due to mismanagement of your Manager and his team. To explain the incident above, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that, the serving personnel served 'Chilly chicken dry' on our table stating that it was the 'Devil Chicken', which we ordered. We started having our food, suddenly another serving personnel came with 'Devil Chicken' plate as per our order. Suddenly he just got disapperaed with our 'Devil Chicken' plate serving to other table. To our surprise, this behavior was very unethical and awkward from the staff. Then we told them to compensate for the mistake and serve the proper order. They didn't listen to that and arguing with us being clueless. Time and again, we were giving them suggestions how to deal with the situation but the staff management was hell bent not to listen to us and make the situation pathetic. The incident took a grave turn when your main Manager came to talk. To our utmost disbelief, we never found such a insensitive fellow doing service in hospitality sector, continuously harassing guests and making thing worse. Your boastful manager was calling himself the absolute authority on the floor, posing like a big-boss and creating an absolute fiasco. Continuous shouting over each other don't make negotiations sweeter : your Manager should know that. He was a failure managing situations and his behaviour was horrible. He continuously insisted upon paying the money for the particular dish served mistakenly by your serving personnel though we unknowingly consumed the food. Time and again, we just wanted to make a point to him about the issue ,that was not about only money or the food: it's business ethics, management and professionalism. Over 5000/- was the bill amount out of which only 370/- was the point of discussion. Sounds hilarious, isn't it? As the wrong order was served, the manager was not ready to make compensation for that. His attitude and choice of words during the conversation was painful to our ears. He just threatened us at one point of time that they will not let us go, if we didn't pay the 370/- part as he was not ready to compromise or compensate for the wrong order. We were just become hopeless at that time how we wasted our evening quarelling over 370/- with a boastful, insensible and disgusting Manager of a restaurant. We also suggested him to make this compensation part easier that to make the order complimentary and we would give a handsome tip as a sign of good gesture. But your fellow Manager turned down the proposal at once. Is this the quality you maintain in hospitality sector restaurant business? This is aweful, shameful and at the same time belonging to very low standard of business ethics. We need you to focus on the staff behavior and courteosness, beyond your good food and awesome decor. Remember reputation lost is lost forever. A mistakenly served chicken dish may cost you one customer but an unprofessional Manager can devastate your business forever. We will not forget and we will not forgive such kind of misconduct and harrasment. Hope, we'll not meet again, Desi Lane! T&R

We visited this place on a weekend specifically for the buffet. However, upon arrival, we were informed that the buffet requires pre-booking at least one day in advance. This was extremely frustrating—if the buffet is not available daily, then why advertise it as an unlimited buffet for everyday? The service was equally disappointing. No one even offered or asked for water, which is basic hospitality. Even roadside eateries make sure to ask for water, but here it was completely ignored. Despite our disappointment, we ordered a starter out of courtesy. Even then, the staff did not bother to ask about water or check on us. It felt like the staff themselves were in a “Sunday mood”—no urgency, no interest in service. Overall, a very disappointing experience. Complete waste of time. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

one of the worst buffet system I have ever visited. They don't have any sense how to deal with the things or how much waiting time should be there there is 0 knowledge about that...i usually don't write an review but here I am eagerly writing this so that all the rest of you will be opting for buffet should plan here...there are lots of reels which will tell you to come here ...you can come but not opt for buffet..by giving the excuse of the gas stock they haven't served us many starters items...happy hours is also a scam ...they just randomly change the menu without any information...think twice before coming..

Avoid this place for anything other than casual dining. We had a terrible experience with extremely poor service and rude staff. Ordered food at 11 PM, but it arrived at 11:40 PM. Before we could even finish, the bouncers started threatening us, saying we had to leave by 12 AM sharp. We paid ₹9,000 for our meal, but weren't allowed to enjoy it due to their strict closing time policy. The staff's behavior was unacceptable, and it ruined what was supposed to be a nice dinner. Not recommended for family gatherings or special occasions

We had come here and ordered a nacho pizza along with other items. The nacho pizza was not available and without our consent, the pizza was changed to a mixed veg pizza which we got to know when the order came to our table. So we asked to change the pizza to a peri peri pizza and the second picture is the pizza we received. They had just put chicken pieces onto the mixed veg pizza. We were convinced by the staff this was a peri peri pizza until I checked zomato for images of a peri peri pizza

worst running cafe in kolkata. service is too slow it take 30 min to take order and after we asked for bill they again took 30 min to provide bill after asking them to give bill 3-4 times. They serve pizza but they dont know how to make pizza base seem like roti and no topping at all we feel we are eating roti with cheese.

Worst management seen in topsia outlet, they denied me to serve buffet food as I did not pre book the table whereas I saw people having buffet in lunch. Pathetic service, the staff don't have etiquette to deal with customers.
