Excellent quality food and quiet quick service inspite of the rush. Their golden fried prawn, chilli garlic red pepper fish is a must must must try. The thai soup was extremely flavourful and had sumptuous amounts of chicken, prawn and mushroom. Definitely recommended. In main course I really liked the mixed hakka chow it had that smoky flavour was moist and very flavourful. In sides I loved the kung pao chicken. Chicken was juicy delicious and flavourful. Will definitely visit golden joy again

I am very happy to write this review that today I have a very good experience in Golden joy.First ambience it's crowded and the most comforting thing in family dining is if the NXT table beside you can't hear you😁 we ordered fresh lime soda, Medium portion soup (had chkn , mushroom,egg)(10/10) half portion golden fried prawn( 9/10)(no chili honey sauce provided) mixed fried rice and barbecue chicken half(10/10). All the items were really good and tasty.They add tips to the bill it's optional.

went to this place almost after 4 years, the meifoon was a bit too much oily for my taste but the golden joy special chicken, the hunan chicken and the golden fried prawns were good. The price for the golden fried prawns seems to be unreasonable. Worth a visit once at most, tbh. There are better places in kolkata when it comes to authentic Chinese cuisine now.

Star of my lunch - veg manchow soup... Golden fried prawn - could have tasted better Chicken drumsticks - undercooked Main course was great- human chicken,prawn shichuan fried rice and gobi manchurian. Main course is tasty. Starters and service behaviour can be improved.

Good thing I went there by myself - I wouldn’t have been able to wipe one more person’s tears. The chicken soup was decent, but their thick, oily, and bland Hakka noodles combined with the undercooked Dry Chilli Garlic Fish really made me question my (and their) existence. Downgrading you guys to Silver Joy! 🥈

We ordered crispy pepper garlic chicken , prawn crackers, mixed rice, mixed chow mein, Veg Hakka chow, GJ spl chicken soup, fish dry, kungpao chicken and chilly mushroom gravy! The quality in this place has deteriorated and how!! Greasy, oily rice and noodles with zero flavours. Chicken Kungpao was tasteless with dry , chewy chicken and raw cashews thrown in as toppings The mushroom was swimming in a pot of boiled water with soya sauce. Over hyped and over rated… 3rd class experience! Was a regular here, never returning again!!

Just now came back from the restaurant, I just want to say that service is very poor. We asked water, they took forever to just get a bottle of water. Food came so late. No one was coming to take the order. Extremely disappointed. Even when they gave the bill they did not give mouth fresheners, they gave it to other tables but not us the person who was taking all the orders was busy talking with other guests. I went with my family & it was extremely disappointing. This just ruined my evening.

so bad service.food and stuff's behaviour was worst unprofessional.. thr was security person who were behaving with my driver very harshly and when we come out from restaurant then one gaurd was manipulating my dad. for money.food taste was so blunt so bad serving style was so disrespectful. and some other customers came as gang they were shouting and hooting just like cheap and clingy and not even one stuff stop them or request to stop them.... overall experience is worst.

If you want sub par service with food that is floating with oil, then visit the establishment called Golden Joy. The only thing left Golden is the name because the food was cold, soaking in oil, with zero care or consideration from any staff members to serve the dishes or even bother about providing a fresh plate of food. Having gone there for more than 10 years now, safe to say I’m not visiting it again.

It's completely not worth a visit. Food n Service both are extremely below par. Not even their signature dishes are tasty enough. AVOID Golden Joy !!
