It was New Year's day of 2023.. Mom, Bro and I had splendid continental luncheon comprising Turkey, Salmon with Orange and a chinese combo of Corn rice with Saricha Chicken. Those were special Christmas dishes served a week long.. Staffs were so courteous, polite and hospitable.. Was a little skepticle with the portion, initially, but to our best surprise the quantity of each dish was more than enough.. Finally had to devote extra time to finish off the last morsel as our appetites was so full.. Coming to the taste, taste was actually mind blowing. Turkey meat loaf with baby potatoes was something that highly satisfied my mom's craving for turkey during christmas. Fish with orange jus tickled bro's taste bud so bad that he wanted to refuse sharing even spoonfull with me. Saricha chicken was a melt in the mouth, bursting with sweet n sour flavours. Chicken kabab was another juicy delicacy that won our hearts. Ambiance and heritage decor actually made us take hell lot of pics. Gorgeous Christmas tree welcomed us lovingly while the turban clad statues bid us adieu proceeded out .. Would definitely visit again!

Visited The Elgin Fairlawn on 05/02/2023. This heritage hotel is located at Sudder Street, very close to New Market and Park Street. The moment you enter the premises of the hotel, you will get colonial-era vibes as a result of its vintage decor and memorabilia-filled walls. The ambience of the restaurant has a laidback charm in spite of being located in one of the busiest areas of the city. The menu is compact and doesn't have a plethora of dishes like the new-age restaurants. We ordered:- 1) Grilled Chicken Breast 2) Grilled Fish Both dishes were excellent in taste. The servers were attentive and cordial. Overall, a relaxed and laidback dining experience awaits you at The Elgin Fairlawn. If you love spending a couple of quiet hours over a meal at a heritage place steeped with nostalgia of the old colonial era of the city, then this is the perfect place for you.

This place has been on my list ever since it reopened. Went there for the first time on 7th December 2024. The ambiance was comforting with aesthetically put together heritage decor. There’s both open and closed seating available. The service was prompt and additional information was provided to help make us better culinary decisions. The manager was kind and extremely accommodating to our special requests. The food was sumptuous. We ordered: Chicken in wine and mustard sauce and Chicken Lasagne. Both were absolutely delicious. It is always so heartening to find a place that not only serves great food but also a complete experience that makes us want to go back again and again.

Dining is not only about eating, it’s about the whole experience. Imperial Dining in Elgin fairlawn epitomises this. Elgin fairlawn, the 240 year old property is having some aesthetically pleasing interiors. The dining experience was absolutely amazing starting from ambience to the quality and quantity of food. Their signature penne Alfredo with grilled chicken is a timeless recommendation and must try. It was simply superb! Just on a little negative note, I feel the service could’ve been a tad better.

Established in 1783, still carrying its legacy. Be it food menu or bar menu - they have plenty options. Service is very good. All staffs are polite & attentive. Ambience is simply soothing. Please keep it up

It was quite crowded on a Sunday evening and we had to wait for a long time. We ordered a cafe latte and 2 starters. The chicken kebab tasted nice but the fish in salt and pepper was really average. Though the dining area is spacious, we wanted to check out the garden area.

Food and ambience was good but the staff were way too rude! No manners at all and mistreated us to the point where we had to leave with extreme dissatisfaction.

this seems to be a very aesthetic place if you check over Google. but the reality is very different! I was expecting to have a good time with my family on a bright Friday afternoon until Sandy(candy) ,a furless cat, enters the scene. According to the authority Sandy is their pet cat, but the cat roams all around the new market area including alleys, drains and other clogged portions. When we asked the security to keep the disgusting creature aside, they paid no attention for the first few minutes. Eventually they did! but they care more about a cat than their guest which is really a humiliating behavior especially for me as I have Ailurophobia. later on it was taken into the kitchen side. hope you can understand how disastrous and unhygienic the food would be! Also we ordered chicken kebab, they took more than half an hour just to serve one item but it was still raw meat. (again they cook food according to the cat's preference) As per the authority it's a pet friendly place but i just want to know how a street cat could be a pet if it is grazing in the dirty corners of the new market! we ordered 3 more items but finally had to leave as the place was way too filthy. the authority could have lessened the bill amount as the fault was from their end! but they didn't, neither we asked for. but we expected a decent treatment. please don't choose this property ever if you care about cleanliness.

The name of the place is opposite to what it actually is. it's only a fancy place with horrible service staff. Due to some of their issues they cancelled what we had ordered previously and only gave the main course, while serving they dropped the piece of chicken and didn't even replace that whereas we had to pay the full bill.. not considerate enough to even put a discount on the bill. The staff is not at all trained and professional.
