A legendary place in Kolkata to visit. But yeah don't expect great food from them. It was my 6th visit and I must say that their services are improved. I can't say about the food as I've only taken an infusion (I love it), hot coffee (it was sweet) and chicken sandwich (okay okay) The services and ordering have been improved. Apart from that, the entire concept of coffee house is very cosy to me. If you're visiting Kolkata first time, you should give it a visit. But yeah please hold back yourself from ordering main course.

I went here to experience the story & legacy. I just wanted to soak the vibe. Sat in its balcony, indulged in passive smoking, ate Chicken Kobiraji & drank cold coffee. Kobiraji & Coffee could have been better but overall a great ordeal. Though it felt like a smoke house but I Hope that this heritage place continues to exist.

COFFEE HOUSE is the place where 'adda' truly comes alive and time slips away as easily as the endless cups of coffee. The taste of Fish Kabiraji and Cold Coffee was good but I didn’t like the Egg Fried Rice and Chicken Manchurian. Still, I would recommend visiting this place as it is perfect for soaking in nostalgia.

This is the 2nd time I have visited, the Coffee House, although after a long time. The food quality is really, however it's the quality of the beverages that really needs improvement.

Visit this place for its history and old retro vibes,it looks nothing much has changed in last many years. Food quality is quite basic as most India coffee house, chicken cutlet is good, coffee is just ok and cold coffee should be avoided. Pricing is still reasonable. It has floor, first floor is no smoking where as ground floor smoking is allowed .

Came here for the ambience, and that's the only saving grace here :) It's really a throwback to colonial times, the setting, the serving; all of it. The food however is truly terrible as is the coffee. I'd suggest to visit purely for the ambience, have a lemon soda and enjoy the experience only.

If overrated could ever be exemplified, this place would be it. The price of food is acceptable, but the quality is absolutely horrible. I've been there quite a few times, tried different food, not once did it seem worth the time or money. The coffee is bland, the cold coffee is sugary as hell, the cutlets are dry, the noodles on the plate had spots that were bland, and spots that were saltier than the sea. If nostalgia grabs hold of you, go in to feel the vibe, else stay away.

Bull shit place. Worst cafe ever. God knows the reason for their attitude. The place is just hyped for its old times era. It has become a must visit for nothing. They live in some other era, knows nothing about hospitality. Need to learn from the new age cafés who are doing small time business but way more professional. This place should be closed forever.
