One of the oldest Chinese joints in Kolkata serving proudly since 1950s. I am visiting here after almost 11 years since my school days. Loved the food here. Everything still feels so authentic even today. Ordered their Chinese Fish Finger, Monks Bowl, Chili Roast Pork, Chicken Hakka Chowmein. All were very good except the Fish Finger. It would have been better if they did not serve Basa fish. Notable mention to the Monks Bowl for using multiple vegetables in a very tasty sauce and the Chili Roast Pork for using extremely lean pork.

Chilli Garlic lemon chicken has become my favourite. Also loved the pork & shrimp fried rice with hot garlic chicken. And roast chilli pork was good too. Good place to eat. Good Ambience .

Went to sip in little rum accompanied by dry chilli chicken in an wintry afternoon and vame out satiated. The washroom hygeine is commendable - the service is quick and no-frill type : no oblique or direct demand for tips unlike many other bars. The chili chicken is unique and prepared only with pieces of green chilies and I loved it. However it might not be suitable to everyone's taste

Food items are expensive as per quality & quantity. Service staffs are casual.

After the pandemic this was my first visit and was surprised to understand that this restaurant could no longer meet the very basic standard of legendary eateries among a few still remaining in “calcutta”. No wonder the staff showed enough rudeness on complaining about the over salty taste of the chicken manchurian and had ordered for mixed gravy noodles which was completely stale and filled the air with rotten smell while putting the plate on the table. Went with a lot of hope for a Saturday late lunch, but had to pull off immediately with a lot of distress on not only the quality of the food but also the rudeness of the staff on complaining about the stale food being served! So… stay away…

It's a pity that one of the best, posh and upmarket authentic Chinese restaurants of our childhood has become such a sham. The food quality has dramatically deteriorated, portion size has got increasingly smaller and staff behaviour is a disaster. Once an iconic eatery at the level of Waldorf and Bar B Q, this is now not even a shade of what it used to be. Only left cherishing the memories.

The quality of food has gone down drastically. Prices have increased and portion size has been cut down. Bye bye Jimmy's . Fish and chicken was smelling, prawn was awfully hard. Alcohol pretty expensive.
