Disappointing Experience at Jolosree. Rude and Unprofessional Service We recently dined at The Riviere Habitat with my family (elder parents and wife) and unfortunately had an extremely negative experience that compelled me to share my disappointment. One particular server, who appeared to be a senior employee with wearing glasses, exhibited an appalling level of rudeness towards a female customer. This incident left a sour taste in our mouths and made us question the professionalism of the staff at this establishment. Throughout the evening, this server's behavior was unacceptable. He not only spoke in a condescending manner but went as far as to yell at the customer, which was both embarrassing and disrespectful. As a guest who had chosen this restaurant with high expectations, we were appalled by the lack of courtesy and respect demonstrated by a member of the hospitality industry. I strongly urge the management of The Riviere Habitat to address this issue promptly. While I don't recommend terminating this specific employee, I implore the management to provide him with a strong and clear feedback emphasizing the importance of respecting guests. As patrons who are willingly spending our hard-earned money on a fine dining experience, we deserve to be treated with kindness and courtesy. It is crucial for the management to understand that the senior server is not doing any favors to the guests but merely fulfilling his job responsibilities. Politeness and professionalism should be the bare minimum expectations from every staff member, regardless of their seniority. Regrettably, due to this terrible experience, I will not be returning to your restaurant ever in the future, and I will actively discourage others from patronizing the establishment. It is my hope that the management takes this feedback seriously and takes the necessary steps to ensure such incidents do not recur, thereby preserving the reputation of their restaurant.

This restaurant is situated on a vessel on the Hooghly river. It has an ac restaurant as well as an outside seating area. We, a group of four, visited this on a very hot afternoon, so we decided to sit in the ac area. The experience was amazing, the sit we chose was by the window so we could enjoy the beauty of the outside, the river flowing by. Now coming to food, we ordered 1. Cream of Chicken Soup 2. Tandoori Chicken(whole) 3. Peas Pulao 4. Gandhoraj Mangsho 5. Watermelon Cooler 6. Deep Blue Sea 7. Vanilla Ice-cream (2 scoops per serving) All the items were delicious. The tandoori chicken is a must try- the pieces were big and juicy, just cooked to perfection. The Gandhoraj mangsho had 4 boneless mutton pieces and they were quite tender, we enjoyed with the pulao. Just 1 negative point- This is the case with many restaurants nowadays. They add a 8% service charge over the food bill and when the food bill is high, service charge also becomes high. Customers should be having liberty to tip for service of their free will, rather than forcing it on them based on % of food bill.

Great concept and lovely ambience. Although I'm sure everyone wishes the boat would actually move around! Food was a little oily but quite tasty. I heard people mention it's quite expensive but comparing to my experiences in Bangalore, Joloshree is quite reasonably priced! Staff are very calm and effective. Also, if anyone from hotel management sees this, I think you guys create a demand my moving the restaurant around the city for small periods of time. For eg one week in Chandannagar and the next in say Howrah! If you create a strong social media engagement people will wait and be highly interested to visit once you visit their nearest stop!

The ambience was lovely and well decorated. We chose the outdoor seating area because it looked really pretty with all the lights and Christmas decorations but there was a lack of coordination between the staff. We waited for almost 20 min but no one came to ask for water and even the menu was not provided yet, all the staff were inside. So we went to the outdoor kitchen area and asked if it was okay if we sit outside or should we sit inside and they told us that we can sit wherever we want they are fine with anything. But again after waiting for another 10 min a staff member finally came towards us and when we asked for the menu he then told us to sit inside. So, I don't understand what the point of the outdoor seating area is if they want their customers to sit inside only! No attention was paid at all to the customers seated in the outdoor area. Now coming to the food, the menu was elaborate, the quality was average and the price was pretty high. We ordered: • Watermelon Cooler - 3.5/5 (Bland in taste) • Orange Sunrise - 4/5 • Jeera Rice - 4/5 • Lucknowi Badami Kofta - 4.5/5 Overall, I would say my experience was average. I really liked the ambience but I feel they need to improve their service and quality of the food because at the end of the day, the food and the service matters the most irrespective of how well decorated or how aesthetic the ambience is.

Went on March 2021 with 3 friends. Awesome ambience, luckily got seats just beside the waterside at the lower deck. Hospitality at it's best (excluding the 1.5hrs wait at the ticket counter😢). Staffs were polite and courteous. Tasty food and good quantity.1.5 plates of Chinese staple (noodles/fried rice) is actually enough for 2 people. In case of North Indian, one plate is enough for 2. The dishes were definitely pricey. The ticket fee of ₹50 will get deducted from total bill at the end. We ordered cold drinks, butterscotch ice cream, Kadhai Paneer, Vegetable Pulao, Chicken Hakka Noodles, Mixed Schezwan Noodles and Dry Chilli Chicken. All dishes were excellent. Had an awesome experience😍. Totally impressed. For more information please watch the video : https://youtu.be/0fmMYJ4w5pk

We went here on 14/10/2021, durga pujo nabami evening.. The ambience & concept is superb. Staff were very helpful & humble. We had to wait almost 1 hr outside to get our table. We ordered -- 1. Fish orly. 2. Crispy chili baby corn. 3. Mixed fried rice. 4. Chili chicken. Food was fresh & of sufficient quantity. But taste is so-so. Also, some of the items were excessively overpriced. Overall, it was a very good experience. 1.
