One of the classic restaurants of New Chinatown and it's been a long I wanted to be here. The ground floor is open for lunch and the first floor is operational during dinner time. Situated in a quiet alley near Chinese Kali Temple, Kafulok provides a proper Chinatown vibes through their ambience and food. One thing I must mention, they serve food in a huge quantity; the half portion is enough for two people with moderate appetite, so order likewise. Now coming to the dishes, we had- • Chicken Canton Wonton (half), 8 pieces of fried wonton in a thick clear gravy with lots of veggies, mushroom and egg white. The wontons are damn crunchy even after drowned in gravy. • Schezwan Chicken Noodles, good in taste with a kick of spiciness and smoky flavour, loaded with chicken chunks. • Lemon Chicken (half), too flavoursome and delicious, a perfect balance of sweet and sourness of lemon, one of the best side dishes I have ever had. Being a huge fan of authentic Chinese, I totally love their food. Also their service is praiseworthy, staffs are really sweet. I definitely would like to be back here again to try their other items. ❤

One of the favourite restaurants of tangra frequenters from the 90’s “Calcutta Foodies”. The ground floor is open for lunch and 1st floor (more cozy) is operational during the evening. Food is exceptionally good and comes in a good quantity. Service is good too. One needs to understand a thin line between 5 star restaurants and Kolkata classic and hidden gem restaurants in terms of service and waiter’s ethics. Off course the tangra and park street restaurants’ are good and friendly in terms of service but you should not be expecting an impeccable line of courtesy like the kind of experience you would have in a JW Marriott food court. Food was good and tasty and not at a premium price. This is currently my first choice in tangra in recent times (nowadays) beside kimling and beijing.

Amazing food.. Quality and quantity both are impressive. We ordered a small wanton soup, half portion of chicken canto wanton (8 pieces) half portion of chilli chicken(10 pieces) , half portion of kafulok fish (pure vetki, less oily 8 pieces)...and perceled a fried rice.. Food was a pure bliss.. Pocket was happy too..

Delicious Chinese Food, Authentic Flavors, Really Generous Portions thus Truly Affordable. The staff was courteous and attentive. The ambience was cozy, away from the usually bustling and crowded Chinatown streets of Tangra, Kolkata.

Located near Kali Mandir in a narrow lane which has its positive and negative points. There is a short cut road from ITC Royal Bengal back side which leads straight to this joint but the road is a little jumpy and narrow. Ambience has nothing much to talk about. It has a ground floor section for gents and a family section for the first floor. I visited three times till now and saw the ground floor more or less empty. Mostly family and friends visit this place. You can opt for bottle which have double the Mrp. A bottle of Black label comes for 6500. The main attraction here is the authentic tangra style chinese which is fading away in popular joints like Golden Joy, Big Boss and Hot wok. Kafulok has lesser variety in their menu compared to other joints of Tangra but whatever they offer, they serve it in an authentic way.Chicken Roast, Whole Steam Garlic Fish(Bhetki), Kafulok fried fish, cantonese steam momos and Cantonese rice are the most delicious options they offer. Whole bhetki and kafulok fried fish both costs 1100 each and Chicken roast costs 900 but i assure you won’t be disappointed at all. Quantity and quality both are uncompromised here.service is nothing to complaint about. Deep our waiter has a nice smiling attitude with great knowledge of the menu they offer. They have a very hard working and patient security guard too. Highly recommended place to enjoy authentic chinese.

I recently dined at Kafulok Restaurant in Topsia and had a delightful experience. The restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it an excellent choice for family gatherings. Their menu features a variety of Indo-Chinese dishes, and I particularly enjoyed the Kafulok Fried Chicken and Kung Pao Chicken, both of which were flavorful and well-prepared. The service was prompt and attentive, contributing to a pleasant dining experience. While the prices are on par with those of Park Street restaurants, the quality of food and overall experience make it worth the visit. I highly recommend Kafulok to anyone seeking authentic Indo-Chinese cuisine in Kolkata.

Location : inside Chinatown, about 5 mins walk from Biswa Bangla Mela Prangon. Food items : 1. Wonton - quantity was excellent (14 pieces full plate). Came with a soupy prep. 4/5 2. Mix Meifoon - decent. 3.5/5 3. Kung Pao Chicken - (8 pieces half plate) dry by default. Comes in a nutty prep. Decent. 4/5. Seating area is pretty big. Don't come in the hopes of good ambience or prompt service, especially on a weekend. The surroundings outside is shady at best, so leave before the sun sets if you're not local.

Don't visit them at noon as the main dining on 1st floor only opens after 6pm. The ambiance at the ground floor is very dull. Empty bar counter, no decorations, basically you’ll not enjoy this place. This place has no quality of China Town, they've the smallest menu in entire China town. No variety of food, just the basic few Chinese items that you get at any local restaurant. You don’t visit China town for that. Service is extremely slow and pathetic even when there was no crowd. We were so disappointed with the quality and quantity they served for the starter that we cancelled having main course here. We told the same to their staffs and they completely ignored it like get lost we don’t care. Chicken Steam Wonton @ Rs.230 (2.5/5) ------------------------------------------------ Wontons tasted good, but had a smell of raw chicken in it. But Rs.230 for those small 8 pieces of wontons that also in that bogus ambiance, are you trying to become Mainland China Kafulok?   Chill Garlic Pepper @ Rs.285 (2.5/5) ------------------------------------------------------ Simple chicken pakora mixed with raw chopped garlic and green chilli. No punch of pepper in it. I've tasted way better Pepper Chicken at multiple restaurants of China Town.  Conclusion --------------------- Their ambiance is not premium; their food is not premium but their prices are very much premium. Just for 2 starters they billed us Rs.600, for that price at Kim Faa, Kim Li you get whole meal. If a small family gets whole meal here the quantity, they serve will not be sufficient and you need to take multiple plates that will cost you 8-10k easily without alcohol. Their ambiance, service and food quality doesn’t justify this price tag anyway.

They do not have a waiting place. They told us to wait out of the gate as if we were looking for free food. Don't go because of food bloggers'reviews. Also groups are preferred rather than 2 pax. Utterly disgusting.
