This is one of the hidden gem for bengali food lovers in South Kolkata. They serve variety of thalis and some amazing fish dishes. We have tried maha-bhoj thali which was unlimited for 1 person. This place is always crowded with food lovers so keep time in your hand when you visit this place.

We ordered Veg meal and Mutton Curry. The Mutton was succulent and had a delicious gravy with potatoes. You can also get extra rice and condiments in thali system without cost. However, the crowd management at the restaurant can be improved a bit.

We ordered Vetki, padba and chicken meal. The chicken meal was really tasteless but Vetki and pabda were ok ok. Visit if you are looking for fish meal however as compared to price the food is not upto the mark. The place is really congested

এই নিয়ে দ্বিতীয় বার গেলাম, প্রথমবার যাওয়ার পরে আমার অভিজ্ঞতা খুব ভালো হয়েছিল এবং আমি খুব ভালো একটা রিভিউ দিয়েছিলাম। কিন্তু দ্বিতীয় বার যাওয়ার পর আমার অভিজ্ঞতা এত বাজে হয়েছে যে আমি সেই রিভিউ চেঞ্জ করতে বাধ্য হচ্ছি। খাবারের কথা যদি বলি সেটা ঠিকঠাক ভালোই... কিন্তু এবারে যে বিষয়টা অত্যন্ত খারাপ লেগেছে সেটা হল স্টাফদের আচরণ। একপ্রকার অশালীন আচরণ বলা যায়।। আমি গিয়েছিলাম ভর দুপুরবেলা, যখন আমরা খাচ্ছিলাম তখন আমাদের সাথে অন্য এক দম্পতি এবং একজন ভদ্রলোক খাচ্ছিলেন। সেই দম্পতি খাওয়ার পর যখন বিল পেমেন্ট করার জন্য দাঁড়িয়েছিল, রেস্টুরেন্টের কম বয়সী থেকে বয়স্ক সমস্ত স্টাফ ওই মেয়েটির পিছন দিকে তাকিয়ে যথেষ্ট অশালীন অঙ্গি ভঙ্গিতে ব্যঙ্গ করে যাচ্ছিল। ব্যাপারটা এত খারাপ লাগছিল ওই মুহূর্তে মনে হচ্ছিল রেস্টুরেন্ট থেকে বেরিয়ে যাই না খেয়ে।। ঠিক একইভাবে আমার মুখের দিকেও তাকিয়ে বসে ছিল। এক জায়গায় টাকা দিয়ে খেতে গিয়ে যদি এইরকম আচরণের সামনাসামনি হতে হয় সেই জায়গায় দ্বিতীয়বার যাওয়ার আর কোনো ইচ্ছাই থাকে না। রেস্টুরেন্টের যিনি মহিলা কর্তী রয়েছেন তিনি এই বিষয়গুলো কখনো নোটিশ করেছেন নাকি জানিনা অথবা নোটিশ করেও অবুঝ হয়ে থাকার ভান করে থাকেন নাকি জানিনা।। রেস্টুরেন্ট যখন ভর্তি থাকে মানুষজনে, তখন ওনারা এই ধরনের অসভ্য ব্যবহার করার সূযোগ অতটা পান না। কিন্তু রেস্টুরেন্ট ফাঁকা থাকলে এই ধরনের অসভ্য ব্যবহার অশালীন ব্যবহার করে থাকেন। যে সমস্ত মহিলারা ওখানে যেতে চাইছেন এই ব্যাপারটার দিকে নিশ্চয়ই খেয়াল রাখবেন।

The interior is simple but air-conditioned. As I went in the early hours, the number of people was almost non-existent. From what I understand, more people come to eat from morning to noon. When we arrived, the employees were just finishing their meal. I came to know that mutton meal, chicken meal and rye meal are left. Must have chicken meal and mutton meal. The meal consisted of rice, mung beans, fried potatoes, cabbage curry with fish head, chutney and the pada that is taken with the meal ie fish or meat (3 pieces) which is taken. Come now, what didn't you like? Vegetables are mixed at ₹100. Which is fine for me as a price. But for mutton meal or chicken meal one has to shell out ₹350 and ₹300 respectively which seems too much at least to me. The food is cold even the meat, given so much money for the food at least the meat items should have been warmed up. Although the size and taste of the meat is quite good. All in all, I went out with a full stomach, but I remained in a strange tension of satisfaction and dissatisfaction.

An amazing restaurant located near Lake Market, serving excellent Bengali cuisine at a very reasonable price. Their service is not so quick. The staffs were extremely courteous and cooperative. The ambience is calm and cosy. Overall a very good experience. Do give it a visit. In frame: •Fish fry (4.5/5) •Moha-bhoj thali (4/5) •Mutton Kasa (5/5).

This is my fourth or fifth visit. The food quality is consistent and excellent every time, so no complaints there. However the main issue is the ambience of the restaurant. The management needs to look into improving this. We ordered two thalis, and while the quality and taste were perfect, the ambience needs an upgrade.

Taste is simply not good. It's very ordinary. Portion size is ok ok. Ambience is very ordinary. I order Veg Thali, Chingri Posto, Bhetki paturi. Not a single dish tasted good. And in my view price is also high for food quality, quantity or ambience.
