Had a wonderful dining experience at Kasturi Bengali Restaurant and truly enjoyed the authentic flavours of Bengal. We ordered a wholesome spread including steamed rice, crispy Aloo Bhaja, perfectly done Fish Finger, and flavorful Posto Bora. The comforting Veg Dal paired beautifully with the meal. Among the main dishes, the Pomfret Jhaal was spicy and well-balanced, while the Chicken Duck Banglow stood out with its rich, aromatic gravy. The Mutton Rezala was tender and mildly spiced, just the way it should be. A special mention to the Chitol Mach Muitha—soft, delicious, and cooked to perfection. Overall, the food was authentic, fresh, and full of traditional Bengali taste. A must-visit place for anyone craving true Bengali cuisine. Highly recommended!

Undoubtedly one of the best Dhakai Restaurants in Kolkata with multiple franchises. I tasted the Chinar park this time it was absolutely delicious and worth it. The maharaja thali bhetki paturi was too good. The portions are good and you get unlimited basanti pulao and rice. The sides including kochu chingri were fabulous. Only a few points were deducted for having a limited parking space as lack of large seating arrangement in case of a huge group (we were a group of 10). I would highly recommend visiting this place

My Experience: I dined at Kasturi Restaurant today. While the overall taste of the meal was impressive and the authentic flavors were spot on, there was one significant issue that dampened the experience. The Good: The gravies and vegetarian sides were delicious and well-prepared. The service was prompt, and the ambiance stayed true to the restaurant's reputation. The Concern: The chicken items were a letdown. There was a noticeable "off-smell" coming from the chicken pieces, which usually indicates that the meat wasn't perfectly fresh or wasn't cleaned thoroughly before cooking. It’s a shame because the spices and the cooking style were actually quite good, but the smell made it hard to enjoy. Verdict: I hope the management looks into their meat sourcing and hygiene standards. I’d love to come back for the flavors, but only if the quality of the chicken is improved.

I recently visited Kasturi Restaurant (Rajarhat New Town) and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. The food was not up to the mark, especially the Fish Paturi—it seemed like it had been prepared a day earlier and lacked freshness and flavor. What made the experience worse was the extremely poor service. Surprisingly, there wasn’t a single customer in the restaurant except us, yet the staff took an unusually long time to serve anything. It took around 20–25 minutes just to get a simple green salad, which is quite unacceptable. We paid for both the food and the service, but sadly, neither lived up to even basic expectations. This was particularly surprising because I’ve dined at their other outlets, such as the Ballygunge branch, and never encountered such issues before. Overall, this visit did not meet expectations at all, both in terms of food quality and service.

When we brought the spoiled food to the staff’s attention, they were dismissive and refused to acknowledge the issue. There was no attempt to offer a replacement, a deduction, or even a basic apology. Instead, the staff reacted negatively
