the food quality could be improved little more. moreover most of food item mentioned in the menu card was not available at the time around 9.00 pm though the outlet was going to close at around 11.00 pm. the mango chatney served was cold as if it was just taken out from freeze just before serving on table. all these are related to Sodepur outlet of Kasturi. there is a strong need of improvement in the quality of food and availability of the item.

Starters -Fish finger - The fish was stale in 2/6 pieces.. There was a sour taste coming from it. The coating was also thick -Lanka posto paneer fry - I couldn't find any posto in it. It felt like paneer fried in ordinary bater. The paneer was not flavourful. The fry was not crispy -Gondhoraj chicken fry - Again, no flavour of gondhoraj. Plain old chicken fry in bater. It was Soggy - Posto bora - This was okayish. It had flavour of ginger,garlic,onions. But posto quantity was very very less - Fish butter fry - Same thing with the fish, slightly sour. Main course - Basanti pulao - This was normal, nothing fancy. Kaju amount was very less - Chicken dhakai bhuna - Was okay - Mutton Kosha - This was good. The only item in the whole menu that was worth the money The filter in the restaurant was broken. It should have been the responsibility of the restaurant to provide drinking water free of cost, but we were forced to take packaged water at a cost. Service was very slow. We expected the food to be of great quality after this but we were disappointed. We had to call the waiters multiple times for adding items to order in an almost empty restaurant. I had visited the Dumdum branch of Kasturi and had a great experience. But I was very disappointed in the Sodepur branch

I think Sodepur Kasturi is spoiling the brand name of Kasturi. Either staff here are not efficient or Management has no care about Customer service. Through Zomato food delivered after 2 hrs from Order and the time was Alu bhaja, dal and Alu bharta. Is this your service ? If you are not capable of handling orders then stop taking the orders. why after paying the customer will wait for 2 hrs for food. still I am waiting for the food to come. Probably I will never ever order from Kasturi

Unsatisfactory performance by the restaurant. They do not receive phone on their official phone number and on reaching the restaurant, we see lot of menus are not available.

Do not order takeaway from this outlet. If you order their signature Kochupata Chingri, you won't find chingri at all, and will end up getting kochu paste.
