Extremely Disappointing TDH Menu at a 4-Star Property | Overpriced & Poor Execution ​Rating: ⭐️⭐️☆☆☆ (2/5) ​We booked a lunch meal at Kava (Fairfield by Marriott) expecting a proper buffet. Upon arrival, we were informed that due to low weekday occupancy, they were serving a Set/TDH Menu instead. While we completely understand the management's perspective on preventing food wastage on low-footfall days, the execution, menu options, and food quality were utterly disappointing for a 4-star hotel charging nearly ₹2,000 per person. ​For a menu with very limited options, having to blindly order without knowing how dishes turn out was a gamble—and unfortunately, most failed. ​The Downside (Poor Quality & Execution): ​Lack of Premium Options: For this price point, the options were very sparse. Not having a single mutton dish on the menu was a big letdown. ​Peshawari Murgh Tikka: Who serves bone-in chicken tikka as a starter in a 4-star hotel? To make things worse, it was cold and barely cooked/hardly boiled. ​Murgh Khada Masala: Terrible quality. Bad cuts of chicken, half-cooked, and tough to eat. ​Chicken Biryani: The rice flavor was good, but the chicken pieces were inedible. ​Breads (Naan): Extremely tough, chewy, and rubbery (felt like leather). ​Bhapa Maach: Made with Basa fish, completely bland, tasteless, and felt like plain boiled fish with no authentic flavors. ​The Positives: ​Non-Veg Oriental Blast Soup: Exceptionally good! ​Chanar Kofta: Delicious and well-cooked. ​Fish Fry: Decent/Average. ​Desserts: Both the Kalakand and the Pastry were surprisingly very good. ​Service: The only saving grace of our dining experience was the service. The staff was courteous, polite, and attentive throughout. The service is literally the sole reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1. ​Verdict: When dining at a Marriott brand, you expect a high standard of culinary execution. Paying around ₹2K for undercooked meat, rubbery naans, and tasteless fish is unacceptable. Extremely disappointed with the weekday set menu experience.
