La Patisserie and Deli is the bakery and cake shop of Taj Bengal, offering a wide array of bakes and desserts. Products include a variety of gourmet breads, muffins, customised cakes, pastries, savouries, breakfast cereals, unique international delicatessen products like French-made Bonne Maman Forest Berries Preserve, and gorgeous-looking luscious confectionery like CHOCOLATE CRUNCH MOUSSE, BLUEBERRY PARFAIT, ORANGE WHITE CHOCO BROWNIE, OPERA PASTRY, RED VELVET CUPCAKE, MIXED FRUIT TART, PEAR FARZIPANE etc. including traditional pastries like FRESH CREAM PINEAPPLE and BLACK FOREST. 🍞🥐🥖🧁🍰🍮 The inside has little enough space but is tastefully decked with decorative wall plates and an ornate chandelier to give the feel of a quaint European boulangerie/viennoiserie. We bought: > BLUBEBERRY MUFFIN: A huge muffin stuffed thickly with blueberry, an awesome baked good to cherish. A must try if one doesn't prefer pastries or cupcakes. > VANILLA POD MUFFIN: A beautiful muffin infused with vanilla, another fine option. > GRILLED CHICKEN PEPPER PUFF: Carrying an authentic taste, these patties were filled with a rich stuffing of chicken chunks and cheese, making it an awesome quick bite for those opting for savouries. > SAFFRON BREAD: A light classic soft bread with subtle traces of saffron, a decent option for lovers of breads. Overall the place caters to all kinds of tastes and choices at rather moderate prices, considering the size, quantity of stuffing and quality of ingredients. At INR 783 (inclusive of luxury tax) the purchases were worth the famous exclusive Taj experience. 😋😍👌🏻

The brand 'Taj' speaks for itself! Giving an exponent review about the interior and the staff will be like demeaning one of the biggest hotel chains of India, the "Taj". Items Ordered: 2lb Chocolate Truffle Cake & 1lb Blueberry Cheesecake Pocket Pinch: Rs.2829 (Including GST) The Chocolate Truffle cake was delicious. When the layers of chocolate along with the truffle touched the taste buds, you could feel the eternal joy and the sole purpose of your existence. The moment you take a bite of the Chocolate Truffle Cake, the cake automatically melts in your mouth. The layers of chocolate on the cake was well balanced, the sweetness of the cake had a formal taste throughout. The Blueberry Cheesecake was probably the best Blueberry Cheesecake I had till date. Unlike other cakes where the blueberry and cheese layers always get mixed, in this cake there was a proper layering, so that the taste of both the blueberry and cheese were detectable. The bottom layer of the cake had a proper cheese layering, as you take the first bite, the blend of cheese and blueberries pleases you to the highest level possible. And your taste buds are well satisfied. I won't be quoting the cost for two, as it's a bakery, not a restaurant. P.S: Previously the price of cakes and other savouries at Taj were pretty costly. But, as of now, the price has been reduced. I would definitely recommend this bakery for their wide variety of cakes and savouries. Taj has kept the taste intact from the beginning to this date. We, the people of Kolkata are proud to have such a prestigious hotel in our city.

Starting from fantabulous cupcakes, pralines, handcrafted chocolates to their delectable savoury delicacies, this place is something to watch out for! Hearty enticing desserts at affordable rates is what the all new La Patisserie has to offer to all the food fanatics out there! Highly Recommended!

I’ve been a loyal customer of La Patisserie at Taj Bengal for years and have always held their standards in high regard — until now. I recently purchased two croissants and a chocolate chip cake, only to find that the croissants were completely spoiled and emitting a foul smell by the time I reached home — within just 30 minutes. This level of quality is absolutely unacceptable from a five-star establishment. Not only was the product unfit for consumption, but it also raises serious concerns about their food safety and quality control practices. It’s shocking and disappointing to experience such negligence from a place I’ve trusted for so long. I expected far better from Taj Bengal. This incident has certainly made me rethink my trust in their brand, and I hope they take immediate corrective action to ensure this doesn't happen to any other customer.

The layer of cake was so thin . It only contained cream. Very Disappointed. There quality have degraded so much . Expected better food quality from taj .
