Brilliant taste with the age old flavors of Calcutta Chinese food which have got somewhat lost in the new Chinese restaurants and thier menus. This place feels like the childhood Chinese of China Town, Tangra. Service: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Ambience: 3.5/5

Food khub i valo. Quantity is too much. Side dish ba starter er half plate means 8 pieces (but choto boro piece miliye 9-10 hoye gechilo), ar full plate means 16 pieces. Standard size er piece. Food is excellent. but the decor needs an upgrade. A renovation is the only thing missing from our experience. As far as the food goes, it was perfect with generous portion size. Definitely will visit (or order from) again. I know the restaurant is old and the interior captures the fact perfectly. But, come on. An upgrade in that department will surely see all the cafés in the vicinity lose half their customers.

The food is great but the management needs to do something about the interiors and ACs (some of which do not work since months).

Yesterday I ordered food for take away as I usually do !! I had ordered 1 chicken fried rice, 1 chicken hakka noodles and manchurian chicken gravy. All the dishes were very blant and tasteless. There quality has highly detoriated. This was my go to resturant for chinese food but I am highly disappointed !! The rice was very thick and not cooked properly. No authentic chinese taste was there. The hakka noodles was very very oily , and tasted very bad. The manchurian chicken was okay. Think twice before wasting your money here . I felt sick after having their food last night

Had lunch at Mandarin(old). The food starting from the soup, pepper chicken, manchurian chicken were loaded with salt and the chicken dishes were dry and stiff. Most probably pre-cooked and few days old. Chicken pieces were almost invisible in the asparagus soup, so were the prawns and chicken in mixed Cantonese noodles and rice. The table cover was dirty and stained. The restaurant ambience was not at all good. We frequent this restaurant quite often but every time I find the quality of both food and cleanliness is deteriorating. Hope the management takes care of this.

Visited this restaurant during Durga Puja 2023. Quantity portion is awesome. Easily 1 bowl of an item will be sufficient for 2. But taste is very average. Fried Rice was hard and dry, never had such in my life. Even road side Chinese tapris cooks better than this. Noodles was also dry with no taste. Chili chicken was okay. Coming to service, waiters were mostly seniors but behaviour is bad. They won't respond properly neither do serving. Had a worst experience altogether.

I visited the restaurant today. Ordered Prawn Cantonese noodles and a chicken Sweet Corn Soup. The soup was decent but the noodles was tasteless and bland. When I requested the staff to improve the taste they refused to do the same and did not bother for any feedback. Quality of the food has gone down. But more importantly the staff doesn't seem to bother about any reviews or scope for improvement.
