Last month we went to Marco Polo and indulged in some absolutely delightful dishes. We tried : 1. Prawn Cocktail 🦐 A true classic starter - prawns served with a creamy cocktail sauce. The prawns were fresh, juicy, and perfectly complemented by the sauce, which had the right balance of creaminess and sharpness. A refreshing beginning to the meal. 2. Bekti à la Meunière 🐟 This dish was the star of the table – a delicate filet of Kolkata bekti cooked in a lemon cream sauce with just a touch of red chilli and sliced onion, paired with fragrant parsley buttered rice. The fish was incredibly fresh and literally melted in the mouth, with the creamy sauce adding richness and balance. A perfect blend of subtle spices. 3. Grilled Bekti 🔥 A traditional preparation, the grilled filet of Kolkata bekti was served with a luscious lemon butter sauce and lightly tossed vegetables. The char-grilled flavour enhanced the natural sweetness of the fish, and the citrusy butter sauce gave it a smooth, zesty lift. Simple yet supremely satisfying. 4. Murgh Malai Nazakat 🍗 This dish featured tender chicken pieces marinated with cardamom, cream, and cheese. The chicken was unbelievably soft and juicy, cooked to perfection with a melt-in-the-mouth texture. Served as six well-portioned pieces on the plate, it carried a subtle richness with the fragrant hint of cardamom that made it stand out. 5. Mixed Fried Rice 🍳 A wholesome and flavour-packed bowl of fried rice that came generously loaded with chicken, prawn, and egg. The balance of flavours was spot on not overly oily, with each grain of rice separate and perfectly seasoned. A complete meal in itself and a perfect companion to the side dishes. 6. Kung Pao Chicken with Cashew Nuts 🌶️🥜 A vibrant Chinese classic, this dish was absolutely finger-licking good! Juicy chicken tossed with crunchy cashew nuts, and a savoury-sweet sauce created a perfect medley of textures and flavours. The slight heat, combined with the crunch of cashews, made it truly addictive. ✅ Overall Experience: Marco Polo served up a memorable meal with a fine mix of Indian, Chinese, and Continental flavours. The quality of ingredients, freshness, and balance of spices made each dish shine on its own. Definitely worth revisiting!

Earlier had visited the Park Street branch. Marco Polo is known for their legendary Chinese cuisine. Ambience and services are pretty top notch. Tried their lung fung soup, panfried chilly fish and pepper lamb for starters. For main course had chicken rice noodles , chilly garlic fish and roast lamb. They had options for basa or bhetki fish for the fish preparations. Kudos for being transparent. Would surely recommend again.

The food was too delicious. The ambience, really amazing, perfect hygiene maintenance, and the service was top-notch. I would specially mention Mr. Prasanta Deb, the manager who took our booking in advance and till the end, made sure we had no issues and problems. Well done! Worth recommending people to try this place which offers such elegant ambience and bears such beautiful service providers.

Last Sunday we had a perfect fine dine in experience. From the ambiance to service to it's amazing food, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the Barbq Grilled Fish along with the main course like Kung Pao with cashew nuts, Butter Garlic Fish, Burnt Garlic Rice, Schezwan Chicken Rice and to top them all the Chocolate Mousse and Darsan. Would love to be back here again!

A well known food destination. A good place to have continental food in Kolkata. Pepper lamb for starters is good. Loved the Lufung soup. I had Grilled pork chops for main meal. Even fish and chips can be tried.

Nice food. Good ambience. Surprisingly empty in the evening two days before Christmas. Service was impeccable. Prawn Cocktail and Kokori Kebab were noteworthy.

I have been here 2hours back and it wasn’t crowded at all neither there was waiting considering Durga Pujo. The Waiter and managers behaviour were so rude. They did not allow us to order Chinese cuisine as it will take a bit more time for preparing the food. Did not expect such a bad behaviour from this restaurant. Highly disappointed.
