Visited Master Jackie late last night with a friend, just around closing time, and honestly, the hospitality truly stood out. Even though they were almost shutting down, the staff was extremely humble, polite, and welcoming enough to accommodate us without making us feel rushed at all. We were given a lovely cozy table, and the service was impressively quick. We ordered a couple of appetizers/starters, and everything was served fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. Loved the ambience, the warmth of the staff, and the overall experience. It’s rare to find places that maintain such kindness and quality even at the end of a long day. Definitely looking forward to visiting again!

It was a wonderful experience. I went with my family. We got our tables almost instantly despite it being packed. I would especially like to mention Aaron who took care of serving us throughout the time. We had ordered the special chimney chicken soup, pork dumplings in chilli oil, burnt garlic rice and dry chilli chicken which my mom said carried the authentic nostalgic taste from her childhood. For dessert we had the darshan with black sesame ice cream and overall it was a delightful experience ❤️

Had a lovely dining experience at Master Jackie. The restaurant has a beautiful old-world charm and serves truly authentic Chinese food with excellent quality and flavour. A special mention to Bijoy for his warm and attentive service. He made the experience even better. Definitely a place worth visiting for great food and ambience in Kolkata.

Arren, our server has been exceptionally hospitable, knows his food well, gave us a pleasing experience. Food reminded us of erstwhile Kolkata Chinese flavor with a greater ambience

Located inside Chowdhury Estate in Chowringhee. They have valet parking which is must in such an area. Ambience is old school style with a heritage look. Staffs are very well behaved and courteous. They serve their food pretty fast. Tried chick wanton, mushroom truffle dumplings, pan fried fish with chives, wanton soup, mixed fried rice and mixed pan fried noodle cantonese style, prawn on toast(excellent and must try), prawn hubei and chicken sapo(nice) and chilli chicken dry. Taste wise all the dishes were good, quantity was sufficient. Mocktails were good and dessert was also nice.Service is top notch. Only thing is the price which is on the higher side. A meal for 5 of us the bill came to 7200/-. Darshan with icecream was charged 450/-.

No doubt that the most important thing is food. We had the very good food over there. Must mention the staff courtesy and prompt service. I would love to recommend everyone to go there.

Only the fish and prawn items in the starters and main course were decent, I would say. They completely messed up the chicken dishes in the appetisers, which is why we didn’t order any chicken item in the main course. For example, we ordered their so-called signature Dry Chilli Chicken along with chicken dumplings, and honestly, the texture of both dishes was not up to the mark at all. I’ve had Chilli Chicken at various places across Calcutta, so I know the standard of Indian Chinese cuisine the city offers, and trust me when I say this — there are thousands of restaurants serving far better Chilli Chicken than this place. At the very least, they should stop calling it their signature dish. As for the dumplings, they were nothing special either — just eatable, that’s all I can say. On top of that, the portions are extremely small and nowhere close to being worth the price they charge. What made the experience even more disappointing was the response to our feedback. When we shared our concerns with one of the waiters, he simply said, “Next time we’ll be better.” Someone really needs to tell him there won’t be a next time. There are many better Chinese restaurants in Calcutta than this place, and I’d genuinely suggest visiting those instead.

This is my second visit and this is my honest review. Some of the cocktail options aren’t great honestly. The food seems a little overpriced and the service isn’t quite professional. The servers need to be trained better for a good service. The server cannot be serving 2 tables at the same time. They should complete the service on one table before moving to the next one. The staff is nice but they really need to be trained better even with serving the food.

had ordered prawn toast which supposed to be one of the signature dish but it turned out to be very oily and also the toast was overcooked and turned bitter. not worth 500 bucks at all.
