Visited Mitra Cafe this evening. I totally liked the welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. The staff's were truly attentive and well-versed. Now coming to the food, we ordered one from the day's special menu "fish tossed in mustard sauce" which tasted just like heaven in the mouth. The tender fish pieces were generously coated in a rich, aromatic mustard sauce (Kashundi) that was perfect in all aspects 👈🏻 a must-try of Mitra Cafe. We ordered two more dishes from the menu - Mozzarella Cheese Balls and Fish & Chips. The mozzarella cheese balls tasted average. I had high expectations with fish & chips. However, the initial excitement was met with a somewhat disappointing realization. The deliciousness and flavours were notably absent. The crust was a bit tough, and the fish didn't quite shine as it should have. I found this dish totally bland. The staff made a note of it and assured me that they will work on it to improve the taste of this one. I wanted to try out their famous "Fish Diamond Fry" but it was unavailable. Overall had a nice experience. Looking forward to visiting again. 👍🏻

I've heard a lot about Mitra Cafe but never had the opportunity to eat from here. But finally, a few days back, I got a chance to try this place. We ordered fish rolls, and one fish roll is enough for one. The roll was food, no fishy smell. Will try more things for sure...

The food is no doubt very good, service and atmosphere also good . One thing I don't like is regular water (filtered) not available. Must try fish kabiraji.

the food was no doubt very tasty but the place is very small so it can be easily overcrowded. you have to share a table if needed.

Food quality is okay but the behavior of the manager (in a different dress code) is not good (in the dining area on the 1st floor). He doesn't know how to behave with customers.

The space is small and crowded, there's already a big portion of the table reserved where we haven't seen anyone reserving the table. The sitting organization is not good, a seating area was arranged just in front of the washroom and cleaning area . Coming to the food, it was average and not at all value for money. I had eating experiences from Mitra Cafe dumdum and Sovabazar. Compared to that neither the quality nor the quantity met my expectations.

went yesterday with co-league, food was good, coffees was not available, Manager is extremely rude and non cooperative, he said "it was impossible" to get a food we ordered from the menu. The person was wearing spectacles and not in uniform. please look into it, very dissatisfied with his behaviour

I have always been a fan of Mitra Cafe's fish fry. But last night's visit to its Sodpur branch was an eye-opener for me, and for all negative reasons. 1. The service was late. 2. It was freezing inside the restaurant but the concerned person was more concerned about getting the order than adjusting the AC temperature. 3. The dish we had ordered was wrongly prepared. 4. There was hair in the food. 5. There were supposed to be 4 pieces of chicken in the Chicken Duck bungalow dosh. However, there were only 3.

totally fraud restaurant . too many times they are taking orders … confirmed it and after 30 mins they canceled the order . no businesses ethics. totally cheaters … please avoid this restaurant. at night i was in helpless condition to arrange some food for my child . zomato is also promoting such un ethical practice.

Half the items on the menu are unavailable. Coffee machine is broken and they don’t bother to repair it. Never gonna visit again. Awful. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
