A delicious South Indian stop. The dosa was beautifully crisp, golden and perfectly roasted, with a lovely texture and flavour. Served with sambar and three different chutneys, each bite had a nice balance of spice, tang and freshness. 😍 The dosa was light yet satisfying, and the chutneys complemented it really well. A simple, comforting and flavourful meal for anyone craving good South Indian food.

The food was amazing, every dish has a reasonable price, the staffs were well behaved. Over all this place is a solid 10/10.

A small quaint South Indian QSR, located in an easy to locate bylane of salt lake sector 5. Minimal interiors offers a nice and comforting ambience.. The podi dosa and sambar is simply outstanding, however the idli, vada and chutneys are average.. we ordered the thatte idli and it was a little hard.. the cold filter coffee was not cold… but overall, a decent experience and a must-try if you’re fond of Benne dosas!

Food was good but it was a bit spicy. I tried their ghee podi dosa and bun palkova (dessert item similar to shahi tukda)

Saturday was my South India day as whole day I ate South Indian. After meeting in Sector 5 we decided to have lunch and it was decided to have South India so we 3 friends headed towards Mysore Canteen. Small place there's few high table to stand and eat. We Ordered Benne Masala Dosa, Benne Plain Dosa, Mysore Masala Dosa and Ghee Podi Idli with Mango shake. Benne Masala Dosa was good crisp from outside and a bit soft inside. Tasted Mysore Masala Dosa which was good as well, Ghee Podi Idli was also good. but the amount they're charging and quantity they're giving is bit less in my view as I had a lot of south indian dishes in my south india tours they're much cheaper, quality and quantity is better. One more Backdrop i saw if you want chutney you have to go all the way to counter from the table in such a compact crowded store. They should at least keep a guy to serve chutney and shambhar. rest Sambhar was too watery and cold i didn't like it at all. As there's hardly any good genuine south indian this side. Mysore Canteen Plays solo. But they need to rectify the things I mentioned for long run. That's the reason I gave them 3 stars or I would have given 5.

Just had a meal at the mysore canteen Kolkata in Saltlake and beware guys never try and visit that place. Such rude staff and pathetic behavior that you can't even imagine. It's luck that they have a legacy and thus people are visiting. The counter asks me while billing whether I have change or not or else it's not possible to bill. The other guy comes at the cash counter who is shouting at the highest possible decibel in a small place instructing the other group people inside cooking. When asked for some podi in the idli they shout and reply 😅 that we should tell earlier as they don't bill for a pinch of podi to be given on the idli. The Benne dosa be careful is floating in butter and ghee might give a heartattack and will clog ur arteries soon. Overall a pathetic place to go for food as the quality I feel is not monitored anymore. I had once been there earlier when they opened it was so crowded in such a small place and the service was bad that day too in the days they 1st opened we thought that they couldn't manage the crowd so gave it another try but today with just a handful of customers they are no different. Absolutely pathetic state of affairs. As it is it was my last visit to the place and would request dosa lovers to avoid the place if u have other choices or go their after meditation to keep yourself cool and ear buds are a must to avoid the unnecessary shouting and noise. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙂 Better place for south Indian food are available in Kolkata like Jyoti vihar, dosa coffee, kurry Patta, RAMNEE, Anand but this is worst of the lot. 🙏🏼😔

Everything about food needs a massive upgrade. Sambar was sweet. Idly was hard Dosa was overflowing in butter. Chutneys were sweet.

Pathetic food, never go there. The Dosa feels like your shoving a brick inside your mouth.
