This is one of the oldest brand of sweet shop in Kolkata.This sweet joint is located in New town adjacent to saltlake sector 5.The price of sweets is bit on the higher side but according to the quality it can still be compromised.Had ordered butter scotch Sandesh,choco chip Sandesh,Aam doi and Chanar payesh.Each of the item is awesome.Choco chip Sandesh is definitely a try.Packaging is also upto the mark.Thanks Zomato for the quick delivery.Good going Nalin Chandra Das & sons.Keep up the good work.If u have a sweet tooth then definitely try them.

It was my first time at Nalin Chandra Das & Sons. I was astounded by the variety of Bengali sets they have. What pleased me even more was the availability of savory items such as aloo-kochuri. This is lipsmackingly delicious! The flavours were perfect and the kochuris were soft.

One of the best places for sweets in kolkata. They have variety of sweets. We have tried lot chomchom, chocolate sandesh. They are good...Price rs 20/.Then we tried their signature item... Malai roll.. Rs 30/. This one is just awesome... ❤❤❤Will taste this one again.

Great place to have sweets like 'SANDESH'. This place is famous for it's sandesh specially. But you can tastes of Chanar payes. specially, I prefer Alphonso mango sandesh.

Ordered food from this outlet on 27-june-2019. The first one that surprised me is the price vs quantity ratio! Utterly expensive ! The monogram & kalpataru sandesh was charged as Rs. 15 per pc - but when they arrivrd in front of my eyes - it was utter disappointment in terms of their very small size (in comparison to the general market trend at other reputed sweet shops) I also ordered Rasomadhuri & chhanar payesh - & the quantity was not again very satisfactory (though better than those sandeshes)! But, no complaints re. the taste of the sweets. Packaging was satisfactorily good as well.

I was in Kolkata on an official trip & wanted to try out some quality Sandesh. As there was no good Bengali Sweet shops nearby, so ordered online on Zomato from New Town shop of Nalin Chandra Das & Sons, on 19 Jun . Found the quality very good, especially Alphonso Mango Sandesh, which was so soft & fresh. Placed a repeat order on 20 Jun for 8 Alphonso Mango Sandesh (Rs.120/-) & other Sandesh. This time the Alphonso Mango Sandesh was so dry, hard & was smelling inside with what seems like fungal growth. I had to throw it in the dustbin, as I am travelling back to Mumbai. Other Sandesh were just OK. Never thought such a reputed shop can cheat & pass of old stale stuff, when ordering online. Have lost faith on both the shop & Zomato for delivering such poor quality stuff.

I made a blunder by ordering sweets from here. Apart from few other sweets, I ordered for 6 pieces of Mango Sandesh... instead of 6 pieces they sent 5 pieces, when I opened the box, I saw only 5 pieces of Mango Sandesh. I connected with Zomato & when they contacted Nalin Chandra Das & Sons (New Town), the shop denied of sending 5 pieces & insisted they have sent 6 pieces. Does that mean I am lying?? Even the quality of the sandesh were not fresh. I will never suggest this shop to anyone. They r just cheating on their customers.
