This particular branch of Nalin Chandra Das & Sons, Newtown is located in the Bangla Misti Hub near Gate No.3 in Eco Park, New town. We are pretty old customers of the Nalins and perhaps, have tried almost all their mishti at their other branches and hence, wanted some savory this time – hence, bought a packet of chips - which was so light and oil free - we felt as if we ate nothing - quality and preparation was that good! Service is nice, pocket pinch is reasonable! Ambience of the entire Bangla Misti Hub is pretty well maintained, limited seating arrangements have also been made! Overall, an experience par excellence!

While passing by the Eco Park, my eyes caught the sight of the beautiful Misti Hub located there. I asked Souripal to drive down to this place. There were many popular confectionaries shops under the single roof of Misti Hub. I travelled all through them but somehow the Nalin Chandra Das & Sons sweets attracted me. I purchased the "Chocolate Bomb" and "Aam Sandesh". I must say their concoctions of the sweets were really very innovate. Aam Sandesh (Rs.15/-) Mango shaped and flavoured sandesh has a filling of mango jelly inside. Bengali celebrate mango so much and to have a sandesh like is an addition to the bengali receipe book. Rating: 4/5 Chocolate Bomb (Rs. 30/-) Well I didn't expected much from this sweet but to my surprise this is an apt bengali Ferrero Rocher. Delicious chocolate sandesh wrapped with chocolate chips outside. Kudos to the amalgamation of eastern and western flavours. Fallen in love with this enriched hidden gem sweet. If you visit the misti hub, then definately nalin chandra das & sons should be in your checklist. The concoctions and flavours are stunning. Looking forward to try its blackcurrent and strawberry flavoured sandesh.

I tried their Makha sandesh for the first time.It was really delicious.Pocket pinch 40rs, sufficient for two people.
